DNA testing - Charles T. Gilkey
Good morning. Several Gilkey cousins are looking for a male descendent of Charles T Gilkey, son of Irish immigrant, Robert Gilkey, of Chambersburg, PA to test against descendants of siblings, Francis and James. Would you have any male cousins of this line who might be willing to take the Y-DNA test at FamilyTreeDNA? If you'd like to e-mail me directly, please do so:

RE: Anadab Aaron/Arnn
I am unable to recall how I determined that they were twins, but I do recall that it was a review of documents. Later I discovered that my cousin in law, not an Arnn descendant but who has researched documents in the Archives in Paris, Henry County discovered that they were twins. She had lived there all her life and like me she asked questions to her grand mother in law, my grand aunt, just as I asked questions to my grandmother. The stories they told us match

A hint that they are twins is their names, Anadab and Abihu; however, that is not documentation. My same cousin in law in the past couple of years met a descendant of Anadab at the Archives in Paris, Henry, TN and took him to the cemetery where the twins' parents are buried. It seems to be common knowledge in Henry County that the two were twins.

Sorry, that I sm unable to list documents. If you look at census records, their ages varied in adulthood but that could be related to the month that the census recorder visited the house, or the person answering the questions just guessed.

I recall that I discovered they were twins long before I heard or found a family tree at ancestry. I know it took a lot of work.It was while listing all their children and where they lived.

Do you know where either of thetwins are buried? On other people such as the son of Ann Arnn Walker, I found his burial place listed on a TN death certificates, but no grave was listed at findagrave. Also, I visited that Cemetery many times as a child and an adult, but there were no tombstones; therefore, it seems that either the stone has sunk into the soft ground over the hundred or so years or a grave stone was never placed. My cousin and I both agreed where the graves were. George sr donated the land for the Cemetery probably when the first wife of his son George (my direct) died. All the family knew they were buried there.

I have found many twins in my both sides of my family.

Good luck with your search. I will b
