Bio Photo Most people here started with wanting to know more about geneology, with me it started with a 5 year old asking questions, about a hundred questions, since we live right by a cemetery. Why do we bury people? What is the blue tent in the cemetery for. Why do we have caskets and so on and so on. Back in my day my parents would respond to everything as "look it up in the dictionary." Well now with the technology we have I went on the internet and found really interesting traditions and history on how death is dealt with in every culture and certain traditions and then stumbled acrossed this site as well. I love cemeteries and find them not only peacefull but full of history and life. Death is a part of life and if I can help with finding a family members final resting place, I find it rewarding. I even started taking care of several plots of past family members. It has become a hobby. I live by the lake and I have my kids involved in collecting real nice rocks that we collect. We take the rocks and after edging the plot we border them with the beach rocks. ( the cemeteries that alllow it) then we dig up wild daffidols around April and May and plant them as well. It doesn't cost a thing but time and effort. I enjoy doing these projects as a family.

Marge Cerchio
Verne & Florence Gamble stone
Jennifer,

Thank you so very much for the picture of the stone for my paternal grandparents. Florence adopted my dad and his sister; my dad was 7 and his mother had died when he was 18 months old.
My dad inherited the twinkle in his eyes from my grandfather.

Your time and contribution is much appreciated.
