I feel this site is a great way to SHARE with others and provided family history for our future generations. I am sorry to say that there are some folks out there that have turned this into a competition of who has added the most or who controls the most memorials. I don't want to come off like that!! So please, if there is a family memorial I have created that you would like transferred to you PLEASE let me know. I only want to manage my family memorials. I don't mind if someone has control of a family member of mine as long as they are willing to work with me to correct or link or add to the memorial. I would like to say thank you to those contributors that are in this for the same reason as myself, to share, help others and keep our loved ones memories alive. May God Bless you All!!!|

Who is your Vandeventer line? My grandmother was Rena Vandeventer, daughter of Charles Rush Vandeventer, son of William Davidson Vandeventer.

First I want to thank you for your time and effort in taking and uploading photos to the website. I would like to ask your permission to save the photos to my computer system that you took for FindaGrave.com for my personal genealogy research and possibly making a book for family members to enjoy. I will give credit to your work. Will you permit me to do that? My ancestorís name is: Elizabeth (Yeary) Vandeventer and she is buried in Lee County, Virginia
I really appreciate this,
I just added an edit with the incorrect parents; Please don't approve it! Her Parents are James P Stalcup & Klenda Catherine "Katie" Orr, find a grave Memorial # 51569698

|Laura ||John Burke/John Burton Mosley|
Can you please review your links between John Burke Mosley (12577730) and parents John Wesley Mosley (13516671) and Sallie Jane Veal (13516675).
The John Burke I find born in El Paso matches to William A & Ethel Burke Mosley. (Reference Familysearch.org - Texas Birth Certificates 1903-1935: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VXMM-F17)
The John I have linked to John Wesley & Sallie Jane is John Burton Mosley (127566201) born in Van Zandt County in 1904. This would match up to the right place when looking at his siblings' births. He passed away in CA in 1981 & is buried next to his wife (Ida Mae Huddleston) and son (Raymond Earl).
John Burton is my husband's paternal GGrandfather. His maternal Grandmother confirms his death occurred in the early 80s.

I am a great great grandson of Kellogg and Louisa (Vandeventer) Munsey and saw you posted a pic of Louisa on her memorial. Was wondering if you know of any more pics of them or their kids exist. Thanks, David Farmer
|Ronne||Emily Arant, mother Picture|
You've done such a great job on this webiste. I'm doing research on Arant family. My mother in law was Emily J's daughter Athelene. Thank you for sharing this picture. If we could email and perhaps I could give some information or we could exchange.

|Gloria Cathcart||Robert Vandeventer|
I am looking for information on a Robert Vandeventer who was born about 1852 in Virginia, possibly in Lee County. He married Caledonia "Cally" Browning and they had a child, Lillie about 1875, Cally died 6 April 1876 in Jonesville, Lee County, VA. According to the 1880 Census Robert was remarried to someone named Sarah and had a son James F. in 1879 as well as Lillie. I am a Browning family member wanting to know more about Robert and Lillie. I would certain like to follow this family.

|K. Baxter||RE: Mattie Bigham|
Thank you for contacting me. When my parents passed, I lost contact with this part of my family. Seems like I remember Cindy being at Aunt Mattie's house (sometimes) when we took my grandma ,Hassie Baxter, to visit. Hattie and Mattie were both very "special " and STRONG women to my grandmother. I have "rare" pictures of them ( when they were about 1yr.old & after they were married with young children). You would be surprised at how beautiful they were! Let me know if I can ever help you... Kay
