Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Hopewell, Washington County, MO and still visit there often, although I live in Georgia now. I've been interested in Genealogy for several years and like to help others with their family history, because I know how much I appreciate it, when someone helps me with mine.

William C Swecker 1847-1876
William C Swecker had daughters: Sara Jane 1870, Margaret Josephine 1872, Cora 1874 and Ann "Willie" 1876 (born after his death.) Wife Nancy returned to her people in VA following his death in MO. I do not know the cause of his death at so young an age. He is my gggrandfather.

If you have access to his obituary or death certificate I would welcome them.

jjohnmcoupe@aol.com I am a member of Ancestry.com as well.

Throughout my family research (16 yrs) I have learned that Sr. and Jr. does not necessarily mean father and son. During this time period it often meant that 2 people with the same name living in the same area may or may not be related. It differentiated that one was older than the other. With siblings naming their children after the same family member, ex. grandparents, uncles, cousins, and even best friends, this happened more frequently than some people realize. Hope this will help you in your research. - Cheryle Latour

Photo added for Nedra Eichenberger
Myrtle,

Thank you so much for taking the photo of Nedra Eichenberger's gravestone. She was my father's baby sister. I sent in a request for the photo to be taken and was thrilled to see it online!

Thank you again. I have an old black and white photo we took when we visited the grave in the early 60's. A nice color one is so much better!

Hi, I was looking at the bio you posted, and noticed your name - are you related? Mary Ann Nixon Dixon is my great-great grandmother, and I've been trying to sort out a tangled mess of Nixons I have in my family tree! Thanks for the information, it's nice to have those added touches!
