Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Fresno, California of Alabama born parents, got into Genealogy in 1997 when I could not figure out what else to do with this computer on-line. I have built up quite a lot of pictures of old shots of the cemeteries of Clay County and Jefferson County Alabama. I have visited most of the cemeteries of my ancestors and my Wife's ancestors in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. A Self-proclaimed Historian with a California Historical society (E Clampus Vitus), I am visiting places of historical interest and with my trusty Dimage , Vivitar and Olympus digital cameras have been taking pictures of headstones at whatever cemeteries we may visit and Historical Monuments in our travels in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Washington. In Fresno, I have added the 1919 biographies of early Fresno residents from the Paul E Vandor book titled "The History of Fresno County" to as many listings as I could. If you have something you would like to have added to a Bio, just drop me a line.

I follow FindaGrave rules and usually transfer close relatives within 30 days. You can complain to the FindaGrave administrators if you want, but you will likely find they too have little patience for impatient people.

What I forgot
The reason I could not put this on edit is that the same old add covers up the "I am robot"and would not let me near it. Sure wish Find A Grave would find a way to fix it.

#162748054 JoJean Haney Parker
JoJean was the daughter of Rosco Haney and Edna Alberta Dittemore, Gibson was her second husband. She was also my 2ed cousin, well, double cousin really.

There is a lot of family info that I would like to add if you would let me have JoJean. She was married more than once and there are children from Then plus two with Gibson.

The Dittemore family, at least our branch were from both a grandfather and his sisters marriages. Their children married. The family goes back as far as a Grandfather who died during the REV WAR and is buried at West Point Military Acadamey. JoJean would have loved that!.

Please consider this request. There are 4 children out there somewhere that would like to know all of this too.

Thank you so very much

RE: Daniel Newman 104757991
I read your profile and noticed you are a historian for California. I thought you might find it interesting that I have solved the Daniel George Newman mystery. He was a miner of occupation, but spent more time as a card shark and con-man. The rumors I am hearing are that he was killed over a card game, in a saloon, in San Miguel, California. I have not found out the details but I hope to make a trip up there sometime soon.

RE: George John Letson
Mr. Letson,

I know that Sarah Letson Coffey was born on February 11, 1854 and died November 12, 1936. Sarah is my great grandmother. Lula May Coffey married Fred B. Starkey, Fred died in 1911 and Lula married John Dawson Nelson in 1915. They had one son, John Dawson Nelson, born on May 20, 1923 and my name is John Dawson Nelson, Jr, born May 26, 1954. I would appreciate more information about Sarah and her family. I find this information interesting. My e-mail address is john.nelson@ice.dhs.gov.

Thank you

I saw your note wondering about the records not matching. It was often the case (back before faxes and email) for mistakes to be made in the rush to get a story to print - while taking information over the phone.

In this case, the middle initial "V" was in the article (because "B" sounds similar).

A similar mistake happened on Pvt. Dugas because "S" can sound like "F" over the phone.

Ralph Banderet is in the Niche with his wife, too.
You may create the findagrave Memorial for Anna Maria Banderet May 9, 1923---June 27, 1999. Please put in a 'photo request' so I can upload my photos.
