I wanted to let you know that I posted a photo of your brother's grave on his memorial.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
You should join the UDC. Getting a copy of the pic will be great to add to my family history. Be sure, you tell your father why you want it! I met the great great grandson of the General one time at a SCV convention, he was from NC. Just think 150 plus years ago, my family was helping your family and now you are helping me, small world.
Are you a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and if so, which Chapter? Do you have a pic of the General, if so, would you mind emailing me a copy.
Look at the spelling in the bio for Jesse Lynn Merwin, esp. Edna.
|Beth Bond||Thank you for photos!|
I want to say thank you so much for your taking photos of the tombstomes for Jennie Clarke and Powhatan Schenck my relatives! I appreciate it so much and they are great photos.
God bless you, Beth
Check your spelling on Jessie Lynn Merwin.
My great-great-great uncle, George Henry White, was killed in the Battle of Seven Pines bring General P. off the Field. GHW was a member of Co. C, 47th VA Infantry.
Do you happen to be descendant from General Pettigrew from the War Between the States?
Jesse was born and died in Norfolk, VA, he is the son of Lynn B. and Bessie Ednat "Betty" Tate Merwin. If you want to add the addition information.
Would you see if you can find Jesse Lynn Merwin and send me the pic of his stone.
