Bio

My reasons for posting on “Find A Grave” are to ensure that family members who have passed on are not forgotten and their memories live on. I also wanted to create another source of preservation of the family history that others can share in. And finally, others researching these families have an opportunity to collaborate on our family history.

I started my cemetery project in September 2007 to accurately record the grave markers, cemetery records, and to photograph the tombstones. I’m taking digital pictures, GPS readings, measuring and sketching the stone, and mapping its location within the cemetery. To get a good photograph that is legible; when necessary and able, I’m cleaning the stones taking great care not to damage or degrade them

I live in Southern New Jersey, 45 minutes from Philadelphia. I’ve been doing genealogy for over 20 years. It’s very rewarding getting in contact with distant cousins through genealogy. My research and preservation of these families’ histories is my legacy to my children and future generations.

It has been an interesting and fun hobby learning the history of my families and how they were a part of this country’s history. Thus, making it more than just collecting names and dates. It’s being a detective; putting together a puzzle that has no boarder.

NOTE: If you see inaccuracies in my information or have additional information, please contact me and I'll make corrections / additions. If you find that the memorial causes emotional hurt or pain, let me know, and I'll remove it, but I'd ask you to first consider that the purpose of posting memorials is to honor a memory and insuring that the person is not forgotten.

In some cases no stone or marker exists, or there is a stone but the interred person’s name isn’t engraved on marker. An ongoing project, I may have a digital picture but just haven’t posted it. Contact me.
