I am researching the Hopkins family too but in England. Just came across Blanche who is my 1st cousin 3x removed! So somehow in one way or another I think I am related to you!
I never knew there were so many Hopkins!

I am hoping that you might have more information on the Christian Co IL Decamp families, namely that of Capt. Daniel and Charles M. Both are buried in Edinburg Cemetery. Daniel's memorial is 90060213 and Charles's is 90060193. I saw that you left a note on Charles memorial page and your profile says that you have researched Decamp families in IL.
I have many family ties to the village of Blueville or Blue Point which eventually became Edinburg. These ties go back to 1847 which is when Daniel settled there.
DNA testing is leading me to believe that one or both of these Decamp gentlemen could be "lost" ancestors of mine.
I would be eternally grateful if you would contact me so we could compare notes. I have researched these families and have found quite a bit, just not enough.
