re: susan webb carver
hey i recently received an edit request, wanted to clarify there is never enough room on the note page, Susan Webb Carver was the daughter of John Webb and Martha Elizabeth (nee Warren) Carver. Susan married her step brother John Carver. Martha married Johns father and they had one child, after his death she helped raise his children by his first marriage along with her daughters by John known grave location for either john webb or john carver though i suspect the one marked John carver no dates (just a place marker) is his in the same cemetery. havent had a chance to visit the funeral home to see if there is a record because we dont live close to there any more. if you are interested in the carver geneology, ill be happy to send you a link to my online tree and always glad to compare notes, the carvers can be quite confusing! feel free to drop me a line any time

RE: Burney Cemetery
Yes, I came home and researched the family ! I live a few streets over and had no idea that cemetery was there ! We need to get in there and clean it up and perhaps clean the tombstones. It doesn't appear there are family members in these parts .....

RE: Burney Cemetery
Hmmmm... it might be hard to read some of the stones since some are in pieces. I've done a bit of resesearch on the family. I know that 2 are Confederate soldiers. I am a member of the UDC and we strive to mark graves and at least catalogue them, especially Confederate soldiers. Another UDC friend of mine do this quite a bit so they are not forgotten.....

Burney Cemetery
Imagine my surprise when I was told an old family cemetery was right here in my neighborhood in Robertson Co., White House, TN. I went to look for it today, it is in pretty rough shape. Many tombstones are in pieces. Does anyone know if family still remain ?

Yes, my family was from Jersey City. They settled in Sayreville in 1961. If you find any connection, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Robert. I noticed that you visited some of my family. Thank you. I wonder, are we distant relatives?

RE: Burney Family
You are welcome. If you decide otherwise, though, just let me know. I noticed that you'd done many of your own, and don't want to get in the way.
