John Milliron (FAG # 68386251)
Would you be a descendant of John & Lillian Fry Milliron? If so, then we may be distant cousins. While I don't have Lillian on the family tree yet, you'll find John Milliron at the following url:
Like John, I am a descendant of Johann Jacob Altman & his wife, Anna Maria Eisenman Altman. While John is their 5th great-grandson, I am their 6th great-grandson.

If you're interested in learning more about your Altman descendant cousins, contact me at

Marion Kapples Spencer
I found your memorial for Marion. I recently visited the East DeKalb Cemetery (Saint Lawrence County, New York) where I grabbed a picture of a plaque with her name on it. The dates match, and according to your biography, her husband was from East DeKalb. I assume the plaque I photographed was a cenotaph?

The reason I grabbed the picture in the first place is that my cousin, Kenneth Farr, was married to a Florence Kapples (Oct. 11, 1902 - Feb. 23, 1995) (FindAGrave memorial 36948193).

- Would you like an image of Marion's plaque posted to her memorial?

- Any idea if Marion and Florence might be related? I did a bit of poking around the 1910 and 1920 censuses and couldn't find a family which included both of them.

You can drop me a note here, or at my email address - joe (at) makowiec (dot) org

Charmayne Maxwell (follow-up)
Since I cannot delete my previous message, I gather that the public has to wait for more information on the breaking news of Charmayne Maxwell, a member of the singing group Brownstone, since information is still all over the place. I had cited info from one source that suggested the death occurred in Denmark (there were others that cite the same thing), while the Daily News in the UK cited that she died after a fall at a soccer match that she attended in Los Angeles, California.

Singer from '90s R&B girl group Brownstone dies from 'accidental' fall while attending soccer game

* Charmayne Maxwell was attending a match in Los
* Her death has been described as an 'accident' by Danish media

Just thought to follow-up in case you needed to disregard my first message in favor of your information on

Many thanks.

Re: Marvin Charles Milliron #109084157
I'm trying to verify something I've found in a family tree on Ancestry. Do you know the maiden name of Marvin's wife Ruby? They were married in 1944 and divorced in 1945 per Michigan Divorce records on Ancestry. The family tree has an obituary for a woman named Ruby Burt Manutes that they have linked to Ruby Milliron's second husband, John Rice. The obituary does not make any mention of any family named Milliron or Rice, which is not surprising, Marvin's obit doesn't mention Ruby or any wife for that matter. I think the poster of the tree might be making an assumption based on a suggested link by Ancestry. I've seen other such suggestions that are based on coincidental details, and are false. Since you are a Milliron and the owner of Marvin's memorial, I'm hoping you know more about him than what his obituary says.
