Albert Boone
Yes, the Albert Boone of Westport, but no he's not a descendant of Thomas Boone, but a grandson of the Daniel Boone. Thot I might ask as my third great-grandfather supposedly wrote a letter to Gov. Geary, Kansas Territorial governor, in which he mentions three character witnesses -- Col. Titus, John Calhoun, and Albert Boone. I've figured out the tie between Calhoun and himself, and some of the connections between the Boone family and the Fletcher family, but not personally Albert, so thot I might ask. By the way, I grew up just south of New Santa Fe, MO. about a mile.

Hi!
I'm mostly researching my 3rd great-grandparents, Martin & Kiturah (Fletcher) White, but also the Boone's where they connect to the Fletcher family. I followed you from Thomas Boone's memorial. Know any Albert Boone descendants?

RE: Septimus Scholl portrait
I did look at the other photos of Nelson and wife and, I'm not very good at matching up photos, but the Nelson ones looked similar to the Septimus one but also might not be him...nothing conclusive except for the "owners" declaration. Thanks for your notes and thoughts

RE: Septimus Scholl portrait
Perhaps then you should remove it from the memorial. He evidently has it in his possession, presumably annotated. That's all I know. I descend through Levina Boone Scholl so this is a side branch of my Daniel Boone tree for me.

Septimus Scholl portrait
I have gotten the source of the photograph from the owner - please add this to the caption unless you have another source:

Photo courtesy ancestry member matthewkgreen. "It was handed down from my grandmother June Lucile Kyger who would have gotten it from Mary Eliza Scholl (Septimus Scholl's granddaughter via Nelson Scholl his son.) "

Septimus Boone Scholl
You have posted a portrait of Septimus Scholl memorial #48784482. Could you please edit the caption and give the source of the portrait? There is doubt that this is this Septimus Boone Scholl as the portrait is supposedly taken before he died in 1849 and would be too early for those kind of portraits. If you don't have a documented source, please remove the picture from the memorial. Thank you

Starling Stanmore Bowen
Hi Nancy...Thank you so much for the picture of Starling Stanmore Bowen and his Grandchildren. I think it was taken around 1918/1919...Buck was born in May 1918...My Grandmother was Starling's Granddaughter Esther Mae Warbington Haney.
