I am a New York City gal transplanted back to Georgia where I was born. I have had a fascination with all things death related and a love for cemeteries as far back as I can remember. Whenever my family took car trips when I was a child, and we passed a cemetery, I always begged to stop and take a peek. Cemeteries can be morbid and creepy, but if one takes the time, (s)he will find that they are beautiful, serene places full of history and celebration of life.|
My family names are: Shea, Robinson (originally Robinsohn), Frydberg/Friedberg, Burt, Bodeker, Hawk and Tyler.
*** Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to leave flowers on my loved ones' graves. I greatly appreciate every one. ***

Here are the lot numbers for your family. Can you please add them to their memorials?
Sammy Claypool, Sec N, Lot 147, Space 2
Margie Claypool, Sec N, Lot 147, Space 1
Thomas Burt, Sec N, Lot 148, Space 2
Willie Mae Burt, Sec N, Lot 148, Space 1
Ralph Shea, Sec N, Lot 148, Space 3
Mrs. Shea, Sec N, Lot 148, Space 4
There was also a notation for Ralph Shea in Lot 149, Space 2 but that might have been for the bench that was on the corner. It is the lot closer to the road from the Burt Grave and there was no marker between their grave and the bench.

Have transfered the memorials to you. Sammy & Margie were so sweet. We just loved them so much. I will look up the lot numbers next time I go to the cemetery and let you know. Glad I could help.

I have been working on adding photos to the memorials of the burials in Hillcrest Cemetery in Augusta especially members of Burns UMC. Sammy & Margie Claypool were very special people. I have added photos of their markers to their memorials as well as a bench that is on the corner of the lot and a photo in a church directory. Sammy & Margie are buried in Section N, Lot 147, Space 1 & 2. When I got there I also found I'm assuming Marjie's parents, Thomas Henry & Willie Mae Burt and Marjie's sister & husband Ralph & Vauda Burt. I have added Thomas Henry & Willie Mae to findagrave and added photos to the memorials for Ralph & Vauda. If you would like me to transfer the Burt's to you I will be happy to do so. They are all buried in Section N. I'm not sure on the exact lot numbers on the Burt's and Shea's but I will look them up next time I'm in the office. I hope this is helpful.

|Donna Di Giacomo||George Carlin|
I just wanted to leave you a note and let you know that expressed my sentiments about George Carlin's death perfectly. It's great to know there are others who feel the same as I do. :-)
