I have always been fascinated by the history of just about anything; antiques, houses, people. That has led me to cemeteries more than once. I also enjoy seeing unique grave monuments in cemeteries, especially those built in the Victorian era. Many people find this a peculiar part of my personality. I don't know when I first realized that I liked to go through graveyards as a recreation but I think it has something to do with the fact that I pratically lived right next door to the Millington Cemetery in Illinois at my grandma's house. And since then I have bought a digital camera I have been able to make many photo contributions to this site. If you have relatives' or friends' graves and they are close to where I live, I would be glad to photograph them if you can't.|

|Paula Evans||My Cousin, Kurt Arthur Pfortmiller - Memorial# 179972389 - Photo Request.|
Are you close to or somewhat close to: Elerding Cemetery, Sheridan, LaSalle County, Illinois,too? I have 1 photo request in it. After the office mentioned where my Cousin, Kurt Arthur Pfortmiller was buried in for you and if you find his grave is the look like non-marked (empty) grave there due to if their is no headstone there, can I please have photos of it anyway please? Please kindly respond for me asap. Thank-you.
Thank you so much for taking and posting photos of my 3xgreat grandparents (and their daughter and daughter in laws) gravestones. I had seen pictures of their stones, but wondered if anyone would ever hike into the cemetery to photograph them for Findagrave since I don't think I will ever be fortunate enough to be able to travel there. (I had even emailed the Friends of Lake Darling hoping they would post on Findagrave) It is nice to see that they have put Mariah's back into an upright position so it can be seen (and so it didn't break any more being on the forest floor).

|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. Also, thanks for your caring, kind words. Traci was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!
This is something I wrote for Traci:
It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.
As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.
I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"
Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
Sharon (Traci's mom)

Could I please use this photo for my family tree and are there any other Owen graves near this one at Millington Cemetery?
