|I research Arkansas,Oklahoma (Indian Territory), Mississippi, and Tennesee. I enjoy history and genealogy, and feel that a life lived, is worth recording. My research passions are the Freedmen of Oklahoma, African American history, Civil War Soldiers especially the USCT's buried in National cemeteries, and much more. |
I am the author of "Black Indian Genealogy Research" and publisher of The Frontier Freedman's Journal, and Freedom's Spirit--an Arkansas Journal.

I have added the two servicemen you supplied. They never got the recognition they deserved. May they rest in peace, they are remembered....Mike

I would be happy to add your relative to my virtual cemetery for the 809th, but you did not give me his name or memorial number.
I am not related to these men. I have had a life long interest in American military history. I have created over 1000 memorial to veterans of the Civil War, Spanish American War, and World War One. I created the virtual cemeteries merely to keep track of the memorials so I would not duplicate any. Most of my memorials are for men who died in Chicago, IL and most of their graves are located in Cook County, IL; although I have been successful in locating some in KY.
Please review the names in my cemetery and if you have photos of any of them please add them to the memorial. All the Best....Mike

I think I am still having email problems. Will you check your spam folder and see if my last two messages are there? Hoping to hear from you.
