Find A Grave contributor Carole D. has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Clarence Daugherty.

This is the wrong father for Lillian Myrtle Daugherty Miracle. Her parents are buried at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford, Lincoln Co. Kentucky Father is Clarence O. Daugherty. Her mother is Pearl Lay Leigh Daugherty
This is the problem I have with the new add automatically find a grave. I've not made the connection, they have. All I can do is add your note. Things like this are I don't add much anymore to the page. It's no longer as accurate as it once was. Big numbers and big money seems to be the new focus. Too bad, because it once was a good site.

I see you've put in a new correction to this memorial. I don't mind adding the birth location, but you have deleted the town of her death. Are you aware that Williamsburg was the last residence on her SSA death data? I think that needs to stay. I've put your correction on hold for now. Would you like to add a correction for just her birth location?
I'll wait for your answer.

Regarding your wonderful message where you pointed me to the parents of Lula Bell, I was able to not only find her parents, but also to add her date of death according to the SSA. Take a look at the newly added information and see what you think.
Keep sending the add'l information!

Hi Carole you may want to contact find a grave about the two different cemeteries. The one I have Maxine in is Friendship Cemetery in Broughtontown, also known as Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Thanks for the update on Bertha Durham Siler; however, in working on the records for this family, you are showing Virgil Jr with birth and death dates of 15 Sep 1927, with cause listed as whooping cough. I do show a Virgil, Jr. born to Virgil and Bertha on 18 Jan 1935. Usually whooping cough wouldn't show up in a newborn. Also, on a copy of the actual death certificate, it looks like someone actually wrote over the names on this very light, almost illegible certificate. The child has been listed as a female and the doctor had attended her on dates 8 Sep 1927 through 15 Sep 1927 and she was last seen alive on 16 Sep 1927. While it is possible that the family did name two different children Virgil, the information on the certificate and transcription does not seem to correlate together.

Thanks so much! I have a cousin down there that will probably find it for me. I'm not driving long distances at this time. I sure appreciate your trouble, Darla
|Spaceman Spiff||Edit suggestion for Jim Oaks #38128806|
As noted in the Bio section of his memorial, per Jim's daughter Lena, his name was not James. He was born as Everett Alfred Oaks but didn't like it and had his name legally changed to Jim (not James). And that's the name on his headstone (and in his obituary). So I will be declining your edit-suggestion to change it to James. Also, what is your source of his middle initial being B.? This doesn't fit with any of the information, either. Are you getting mixed up with one of the two James B. Oaks in the family?
