Just an avid genealogist in search of the past.I have done both sides of my family line, but I also do research for my hometown of Chatsworth,Il. I am glad to share any obits or pics you may need. If I have placed anything that is your family line I will be glad to turn it over to any family member. Also,in my searches I have found many obits and relationships, so I may add a second memorial to a person, rather than bothering the original contributor, as I have found that many of them are now deceased or not contributing anymore. I do not mean to be offensive, just trying to put the facts out there for you to find.|

Hi Mary, You are welcome to use any picture or article I have posted. My feeling is, if I don't want it used, I don't put it on the internet. That said, I have a few Chatsworth pictures that I can also share for the Chatsworth Memorial page. I will send them to your email address. Gayle

No problem at all! Great picture!
|Donna ||Frank Henry Hurt|
Just wanted to let you know that I added a copy of the military headstone application for Frank Hurt to his memorial page. If you would like it taken off just let me know, but I thought it should be known that he was a Bronze Star recipient.
Have a good holiday.

I dont know what happened to it. I am sorry I cant not do another memorial I do not live in Illinois. Sorry

I noticed that Katharina died on her birthday, but to go that way would make it the worst birthday ever. I'd be interested to hear more about the other Mrs. Zimmerman. What a horrible story there, as well. I'm shocked that she survived.

Thanks for the nice note, Mary!

OK, I did some looking. I'm not sure about this, but is it possible that the "Mrs Zimmerman" in the 1913 article was not named Katharina? I never found a son of Katharina's named Urban in the census records. This doesn't mean he doesn't exist, because the census spellings for German families are bad (I know, I come from them!). I have found an Urban Zimmerman (b 1892) in Peoria, son of Robert and Anna. Is it possible that the Mrs Zimmermans were sisters-in-law, or maybe even unrelated? One of them died in the wreck, but the other one (Anna?) went on (apparently to have at least two more children, Urban and Gretchen)? I don't know. I had to get Christian's burial data from Springdale, but Katharina's was very readable. I did find their wedding information, and added that to their memorials. Let me know what you think.

Could you send a bit more information about Katharina Zimmerman? A FG# would be most helpful. I assumed it was the person in Springdale? I don't seem to have any other memorials except a person with a readable memorial that says she died in 1887. I'm not a relative; just a grave photographer.
