James " Jim" Foster
Born: January 21, 1944
Died: March 29, 2015
MILLPORT, Ala. — James “Jim” Foster, 71, died March 29, 2015, at his residence.
Services are 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dowdle Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating.
Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation is two hours before service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Foster was born in Crawford on Jan. 21, 1944, to the late James Leslie and Lottie Roberts Foster.
He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver and owned a small engine repair shop.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Foster of Millport; sons, James Edward Foster and Daniel Blake Foster, both of Millport and Randy Scott Foster of Columbus; daughters, Angela Dawn Taylor and Suzann Marie Foster, both of Columbus; sisters, Aileen Foster of Goodspring, Tennessee, and Lily Montgomery of Mayhew; and brother, Joe Foster of Tuscumbia, Alabama; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Milton Handley, Trey Williams, Ryan Hardy, Gerald Massey, Doug Rector and Charles Perkins.
