I live in Piedmont, AL, and love to spend time researching the families of northern Calhoun County. I have surveyed several cemeteries in my area, some fully and others I only have partial listings. My ancestor's surnames include Morgan, Law, Connell, Grogan, Jennings, Wise, Blackmon, Speight, Needham, Stewart, Posey, Ponder, Brown, McCarley, Patterson, Whitfield, Smith, Griffin, Moon, Bruce, Murray, Stanley, Rountree, Willingham, Brandon, and Hamilton. My database currently has a count of more than 15,000 people. I not only research my direct lines but collateral lines also. I have a pretty good selection of records available to me and I love sharing and comparing. I lead a rather hectic life and do not get to research and work on my files as much as I would like to. Please be patient when asking for a favor.|

Do you have any clarification on the disparity of the DOB differences on the subject memorial?
Headstone says 21 Dec 1856 but the other marker on the civil war service says 21 Dec 1850. Both dates seem too early for a child to have served in the Confederate Army. Any info you might have would be helpful. Stokely Morgan PHS 1962
|Drew Hawkins - Linda Hawkins||Ann Rountree - your 4th gr grandmother|
In FamilySearch.org someone added Ann Rountree, wife of John H Rountree, to my site as the mother to Adolphus Jane Rountree. Adolphus Jane was my 3rd gr'grandmother and I am looking for documentation that she is the daughter of Ann Rountree. If you have any documentation on this would you please contact me @ firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you so much, Linda Sanders Hawkins

I would like permission to use your photo on his memorial 26080479, to be placed on my ancestry page. I am the 2nd Lt Commander of the Marshall County Sons of Confederate Veterans. We also like to honor any Veterans buried in Marshall County and this will add to our collection of photos we use during our living histories, camp meeting, etc. If you have any other photos to share, that would be much appreciated. The Law family is also married into my maternal line. Any Cherokee County information is also greatly appreciated due to so much loss of data in that county due to fires.
