Bio and Links
Daughter of James Russell Farrell and Joan Rosemary Farrell nee Minor.

Married to Alan T. Lathrop, mother to Patrick Alan Lathrop & loving grandma to Connor and Gavin Lathrop.

I love doing genealogy and taking photos of cemeteries and tombstones/monuments.

My family and I have recently discovered that our grandfather, James Preston Farrell, was really Preston Nash Hooker. He changed his name in 1921, never spoke to his family in Chicago again and moved to Southern CA where he married and had my father, James Russell Farrell and my uncle, Richard Preston Farrell.

My brother Richard and I have traced our Hooker family all the way back to the 1600's in America and are working on confirming our line back to the 1400's in England.

I also love animals and have done dog and cat rescue for years...especially cocker spaniel senior and special need rescue. Also kitties, goats and snakes.

Hi there, I was wondering if you got their locations as of yet?

I believe the fire was pre 1933, so they should be able to find your relatives easily enough.

No I didn't record where they were and I really should have done so, but I'm sure a staff member could give you their locations. Just call 253 472 8875 or email

Joseph Chamberlin
Hi Linda. =] You are so welcome. =]
Joseph's stone is laying face down. =[ I want to get back over and try to pour some water on it to clean it off some and take another picture. His wife Mary's stone is next to him, broken and laying down. =[
I will get the phone number for the church, maybe they can help with getting them back up. =]
There also may have been other Chamberlain's throughout the cemetery, I will take a closer look on my next trip.=] Also, there is a good size space next to Joseph's stone, so I am not sure if maybe someone is there unmarked. =/
Joseph's stone read's:
Joseph Chamberlin
August 29, 18??
??years 7m. ??days(all numbers hard to see)
Mary's reads:
In Memory of
wife of Joseph
born Sep 20, 1780
Married Oct. 29, 1797(last number a guess-hard to see)
Died Dec 10, 1861

Hooker Family

I am so sorry to have made the mistake of who your husband is!! When I saw Alan I assumed that it was the Alan I know from Find A Grave!! I should never assume anything.

Onto your question:
Daniel Hooker would have been my great grandfather of husband of 2nd great grand aunt. So very distantly related.

The trees I got my info from were:
Yours, Amy Macpherson, Patterson-Cruysen, Vicky McDonald, and Eaton family tree.

Hooker Family

Nice to meet you!!! I was going to ask if you were related to Alan but you have your relationship down. You husband has been so great to me as far as taking pics of my ancestors. I come in through Ella Jane Overbeek Hooker who was married to Thomas Vernon Hooker. Thomas would have been the husband of my great great grand aunt. Alan took many of the Overbeek and Hooker pics for me!! I have unfortunately only factual info, no info from a direct family member. If there is some info that I might have just ask me and I will try to help. I have met some wonderful people on Find A Grave, Jen Snoots always helps with pics and has all the Civil War info.

Bill's Contact Info
Kim called me back and said to give her your email. It is:

The reason you have not been able to get a hold of Cindy is because is the sister that died. I did not know her, so did not put her on Find A Grave.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news! However, Kim has info and has done some genealogy, so will be able to help you. She said she had gotten some info from Dru too, and does remember about you.

Hope this helps!

RE: re Bill Courtright
Hi Linda...I know Kim and Ryan, Bill's son and ex-wife. I called Kim and left her your email on her voice mail. As I am sure you understand, I don't feel comfortable giving out her info without her permission. I know that one of Bill's sisters died just a few months after he did, but I do not remember which one.

When I saw your name, I though you were contacting me...I have Lathrops in my family line. Do yours come from Mass? Elizabeth Lathrop (son of Mark)married into my Packer line.

If I can help you in any way, let me know. Marie
