Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Louisiana, raised in Harrison County, Texas. Spent many summers on the island of Galveston, Texas with family, and owned a home there for a number of years as an adult. Interested in genealogy for over 45+ years.First let me say, I appreciate the time and efforts people spend to add to this site. It helps all of us who are interested in our family history. I've read ~ Find A Grave's [site] purpose is a grave registration website not a genealogy site ~ Since there is space for a 'bio', it seems like a genealogy site to me and I try earnestly to add only true family links and information.Like everyone here, I have spent MANY HOURS adding information to this site. My submissions are mainly family, ancestors, friends, many of my husband's relatives from our hometown of Marshall, Texas and nearby Harleton, Texas, Gilmer, Texas and some may be unknown persons by many except for being found here. I will gladly transfer a memorial of immediate family members only. At the time of the request, please identify your relationship with the person you want transferred to you. Many of the memorials I've created are people who are either in my husband's tree or mine. Therefore, if you request one of those memorials, I will not be able to accommodate you.I will be glad to link memorials if requested and a memorial number is provided. If the request isn't done as soon as you think it should have been done, KINDLY send your request again thru the EDIT link. I have not purposedly over-looked your request. Photos (if you wish) may be added without my permission or my transfering a memorial to you. I will be glad to add your information to any memorial and add your name and number to the memorial, if you include it.Thank you for taking the time to read my message."Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."

Mary Starr
I am researching my 3rd great-grandmother, Mary Starr, born around 1798 and married in Ohio in 1818. I haven't been able to find anything definitive about her parents or siblings, but she was in Eastern Ohio around the time of your William and could possibly be a sibling or cousin.

RE: Recheck your edit please
I did not keep a copy of what I sent you, but Reuben Frank or Frank Reuben Hadcock was the son of Wallace William & Lemira A. (Carter) Hadcock.
Frank m. Mrs. Frannie ("Fannie") Demuth (Walker) Basham, Springfield, Greene Co, MO, Nov 2, 1897.
Hope this clears up any mistake I made entering the data.

RE: Sexton connection
Thank you for the quick reply.
The Sextons are not my direct ancestors. Hannah's sister Permelia is but of course these families intermarried after that. Permelia's husband is John Hart from Montgomery/Grayson County, Virginia. His father Peter Hart and Uncle James Hart served in the Revolution under Captain John Cox and Company.
Peter Hart sold his land in Grayson to John's brother David Cox before moving a short distance to Ashe County, North Carolina, or maybe he never moved at all as state lines changed. There seems to be no shortage of Cox families to sort out. Some of them married Sextons.
I will send you an e-mail rather then go on to much here.

Sexton families
I would like to exchange information, and hopefully clear up some errors in my Sexton branch. Hannah Morgan Sexton is a sister to my 3rd Great Grandmother, Permelia Morgan Hart.
I have Hannah posted and I understand your sexton family might not be related to mine.

Ashland Cemetery
Dear Ann, You have made no errors. I am just trying to locate the person who will be able to edit the location. If you try and it will not take your edit, then you have done all you can do. I appreciate the fact that you got back to me.
Thanks Again, Mary

Ashland Cemetery
Dear Ann, The Ashland cemetery location is wrong. It says Gilmer, but it is 20 miles to Gilmer. It is in Ashland, but they no longer have a post office. The next closest town is Diana 75640 which is about 4 miles away. Will you go to your memorials and see if you can make a correction? I am sending this message to everyone who has memorials in that cemetery as well as to F.A.G.
Thanks, Mary

Hermenia Mae Brackman Hampton
Hermenia Brackman married Aubrey Hampton and I have information about her. She had a daughter June as well as Robert and Barbara. I believe that Barbara is the product of her father's second marriage although the birthdate indicates otherwise. I know the daughter, June Hampton (...) and she has never mentioned a sister Barbara. However, her brother Robert married a Barbara, but I don't know anything about either Barbara.

I thought you might be interested. I posted my info on this site:

If this doesn't get you to my post let me know and I will copy the info to you.

Dear Ann,

I want to thank you for doing all this wonderful work and research. Lora Merrick, spouse of Ancil Turbeville, is my 2nd great grandmother. I have recently started doing genealogy and am grateful to you for making it a little easier.
