Bio Photo The final resting places of my family on this earth hold a special place in my heart. There is no feeling to compare to finally finding an ancestor's grave after months or years of searching. When I am standing there I am humbled by the thought that this is where my family gathered together 25,55, or 155 years ago and still we go on. Some say that family is forever. Perhaps that is true. We are only here a short period of time. When I am alone among my departed family members there is a certain comfort I feel that some part of them is present at the moment and that life really never ends. For those active on GEDMATCH my kit number is A222876.

RE: GedMatch Cousin
Hi again. I'm still not sure how we are related. I looked your memorials over again, and my best guess is thru the Smith's in Georgia. I have a Tom Smith, GGgpa, who its thought came from Georgia, he lived in Bastrop/Gonzales/Fayette counties Texas. my line to him Rhonda>Weldon>Leon>Henry Gordon "john''Smith>Thomas James?"Tom" Smith>
Otherwise, I'm not seeing the connection. I'm planning a move, soon.. but when I get settled again, I plan on figuring out my GedMatch cousin connections. Happy Hunting!

GedMatch Cousin
Hi. Your on my Gedmatch list, but I'm not recognizing any of your surnames. Kit G478617, I'm from Texas. And there is a distant Smith Grandfather that is supposed to have come from Georgia. He's a mystery, was married many times. I'm not even sure how many kids. I know of 3 for sures, and an old cousin says, probaly 2 or 3 more. I'm on Facebook, I'd luv to chat. :)

Hi. I was looking at the headstones for this gentleman. One of his headstone show 1846 as birth and the other says 1864. Do you know why the birth year is different? Thank you.

Death of Mann bro
I found it on the internet. It said the brothers were hung by an angry mob near the Polk Co. Court House. The had killed a man for horse theft. Their bodied remained there until their father came and claimed the bodies. Were they twins do you know.
