I've been doing genealogy and poking into history for nearly 40 years now. My mom got me started when she became curious about where her ancestors came from in Germany and where my dad's ancestors came from in France. In the process of researching, I got hooked on genealogy and historical research. |

Thank you for the obituary and information on the Bowman family. This answers many questions and leads to other family connections.
The part about the family stopping in Missouri is new to me. I wonder if they met floods that were mentioned in another family history of Alpha and my mother's friend. That family (Pasko/Temple) headed West as well and ended up neighbors of the Bowmans.
I did not have anything on John and Arline moving to Denver. Alpha was maid of honor at my mother's wedding in the mid 1940s. I was under the impression that she and Betty were at the family home in LaPorte, assisting in running the place during their father's illness.
I did contact the grandson and great grandson of John Hayes and Arline and told them of findagrave and the memorials posted.

Abraham was my great grandmother's father. Archives has his birth date about 1829 and his death on September 6, 1874. Are they wrong?
Thanks for all that you are doing to get people's loved ones recorded.
Hi Ardie - Thank you for the parental links. I was able to confirm them on ancestry.com. If you had not brought her to my attention, I probably would not have realized that I had missed Alpharetta being over 100 years old! I have now placed her in my "Centenarians" virtual cemetery. (-: Take care, Amy

I got your pics today. I put captions on the two shots looking down the corridor if you want to click on those pictures to see that. The one picture shows that they are interred right about a couple of Crooks! :-]
Hi Ardie, I am researching the Yagua (Yeager) family. I was told by Lawrence Joseph Rivera 1908-1980 that his maternal great-grandparents were Joseph and Mary Yagua. They were married in Poland abt 1855/56. They arrived in the US by way of Indianola, TX. They bought land on the Marcado Creek in Victoria, TX in 1880. They are buried in the Grimes-Pool cemetery d1899. They had one daughter b1857 Agnes who died young, her sister Frances I have tons of info on. But it is Agnes I am stuck on.Thanks for any help-Kathy
