Hi, I have researched my family history for the past 30 years. I am French Canadian and German. I am a mother of two grown sons. I love strolling through cemeteries and to think of the history that is in there. I try to capture history here at Find A Grave and hopefully one day someone years from now will appreciate what I have done for them as I have appreciated the documents that have been saved over the years that have assisted me with my research. History was always my favorite subject in school. Between capturing history here I'm documenting my family history on Ancestry tracing back to the Kings and Queens around 800.|
Please if you have any corrections to my memorials submit your changes through the "Edit" tab and I will review and approve them.

Hello. I'm sorry, but I have no recollection of the transcription. When one transcribes, it is from a photo of a gravestone that someone else contributed. It seems that photo has since been removed and only the general cemetery photo remains. Had there been dates on the original photo, though, those would have been transcribed if legible.

There may have been no"i" in his name. He was building a religious like retreat, some where in the thumb area. I lost track of him about Sept. 2007. He bought exotic lumber from the company I used to work for. His cell phone was discontinued as I tried to call him.

You are welcome. It was my first time in that cemetery and it didn't take me to long to find him. It was a nice day in Sanilac county.

That is the headstone that is on that plot. There is a CD at our local library that has a listing of the burials at Sacred Heart. I'll go there some time this week and see if there are any other John Kurkowski's buried in the cemetery and let you know.

Sorry... I've given you what I have been able to find. As I'm sure you know, there are many "gaps" in online records. I'm not related so all I can do today is wish you well in your search.

I have read some similar stories but not as much detail as you have provided me with. Thanks SO MUCH! I can now add this to my family documents!:):)
