I originally started my family genealogy project back in 1999 after my father's death, but then had to put it on hold with the birth of my youngest daughter later that year. As she was born with severe special needs life is up and down. I briefly stepped back into my genealogy research after the death of my Mother in 2004. I found creating her memorial to be a great way to positively deal with the grief. She was into genealogy too and I am sure she appreciates me immortalizing her here. So far I've memorialized up through my paternal Great Great Grandparents. My Mom was born in England, so finding info on her side may prove more daunting. I'll continue with my research as time permits. Having my daughter in school now hasn't given me all the free time I thought I would have. That and new medical issues with her this year, are pretty much taking up all my time. Hopefully, things will slow down so I can do more... I love genealogy!|

My Great Grandparents are Amanda Emogene Rebecca 'Emma' Robnett and John Henry Blackwell via their daugher Olene Blackwell Horton (later Groves). Interested in the Blackwell family and the many cousins that still exist. Don't hesitate to reach out. GROOVYMINISTRIES@GMAIL.COM

Haven't talked with you in awhile. Hope that you and your family are doing well & that you are getting some time to do geneology again.
I have a question about Ruth Blackwell Beall who was married to Norman Beall who lived in Grayson Co., Texas. I knew a Ruth Beall who worked for Texas Power & Light Co. in the 1970's in Sherman & maybe Denison, could your Ruth Beall be the same person? I only knew her briefly before she retired; I started work at TP&L in 1980 doing the same job as she. Wouldn't that be funny if she was related to me! I saw that she & Norman are buried at Mount Carmel Cem. in Hunt Co. Did she have children?

If I can ask, what took the lives of the three Coble children?

I was delighted to read about the Blackwell family. I too am a great granddaughter of Lou Ella. My mother, Lou Frances Barnett Alexander was named after her grandmother.

Thank you so much for your contributions to the Blackwell family. James Franklin Blackwell and Nancy Caroline Petty are my Great Great Grandparents also. Their daughter Eliza Jane Blackwell (sister to John Henry Blackwell),and James Walter Hancock are my Great Grandparents.
Eliza was bitten by a kissing bug and died from the infection at aprox 26 years old, leaving two young boys, my Grandfather, Victor Lee Hancock age 4 and Emmett Thomas Hancock age 2. My father is Cecil Ray Hancock, son of Victor. That makes you and I third cousins.
