I lived in Birkenfeld, Oregon for almost 30 years. I was involved in local history there through the Mist Birkenfeld Historical Society and the Nehalem Valley Pioneer Association, maintaining history of the Upper Nehalem Valley. I am now retired and living in Seaside, Oregon. For many years I have worked on Clatsop County history through volunteer work with the local museums and cemeteries.
