|For the past twenty plus years I have been working on my family history. Things are so much easier now to research from the comfort of my own home with all the information available online.|
I love to walk through the old cemeteries. I only wish they could tell their stories a little "louder".
Now I have a place to deposit all the information I have acquired over the years. It will take a while to get it all up here. I look forward to meeting others who are researching the same lines.
Family names I am researching are:
Merrill, Hall, Bailey, Hayes, Anderson, Batten
Samuelson, Larson, Holcomb, Bancroft
Erdenberger, Stanhope, Owen, Lockwood, Bender, Bickel, Wise
Rothe, Kerr, McCoy, Zeits, Wolf, Armstrong, Harbison, Sagerson
Gillespie, Geiger, Roll
I welcome all inquiries or will share information from my files.
I picked up this quote at the Ashtabula OH County library in Geneva:
THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe.

Hello, please process the edits I sent. She is linked to the incorrect parents and her date of birth needs corrected. Thank you, Amy
|Cindy Elliott||Elizabeth Thomas Lewis|
I have fulfilled your request. Elizabeth and her infant son John were on the same stone. I did John and Benjamin's also. Had a great time solving this mystery. I took more pics in that area of Thomas's, so I'll see if I can add any more pics.
Have a great night, Cindy
I went out today and found some interesting pics, but I want to go back tomorrow (weather permitting) because the family plot is very intermingled. Do you think that Elizabeth might have gone by Lizzie? Thanks, Cindy
Transferred to you.

|Tricia the Spirit Chaser🌺||Charles Clinton Hall|
I changed his birth year on the memorial to 1842. I added a note under the bio relating the information that you had sent me.
thanks for the information
|Tricia the Spirit Chaser🌺||Charles c Hall|
I linked his parents and put you on the memorial as the source.
Are you aware that on his parents memorials, there is a daughter born about 5 months from Charles in the same year?
That doesn't make sense. Do you now anything about that?

Thank you for possibly being one of the storytellers for my ancestors (Cone)! Just ran across your bio & found the poem... Do you have any knowledge if James William Cone could be the J. W. Cone that I have just found referenced as the husband of Annie Cone (mem.#7040646) ?
|J Wolf||Seth Sheard|
Hello Sue... I added a picture for Seth Sheard (your request) from Oxford Cemetery. Shared marker with spouse (Katy) and son (Carl). I added memorials for both. Marker only had "S. Sheard" at base, but "Seth" mentioned as husband of Katy. Hope this helps. J

The view from their plots is beautiful. The plots are on a shelf at the top of a hill nestled in the pine trees. I was up there around 8:30 AM enjoying the sun peeking through the trees. I am glad you like the pictures. I always try to take a picture of the entire family plot and name each person in their final resting place order. It gives folks a visual of their families final resting place. Herbert's stone is loose from the base so I was able to get a better picture by laying it on it's back. I did upright it after photographing it. I'm glad I could help you. Have a nice day!
