I am researching my own family as well as documenting cemeteries. I feel it is important to photograph stones before they are forever lost to time. |
Please do not take offense if I add a different photo to a memorial page. Maybe the photo I took gives a different perspective due to time of year, lighting, etc. Of course, I welcome any additional photos and/or editions to memorials I have created.
Photo Use: If I took the gravestone photo,feel free to use it. Please do not use personal family photos without my permission.
Edits: Use the Edit button on the memorial page for additions/corrections. Do not use personal email for edits unless absolutely necessary.

P.S. I just want to give a special thank you to all the people who volunteer to take photo requests. Many times it is impossible to see a grave in person and your photo is the next best thing. Many thanks for your time. Paying it forward!

Yes, I thought of that after posting. So often I think of something too late...I think it's an a-g-e thing. Sorry! I recently took a shot like that or along that line and decided to list who was who in the caption since the requests were really not of the other people. I thought they should know who the other family members were in the same plot area. Some names such as Clark are so common that it really doesn't always mean they are of the same family or in the same plot. Thanks!

Hi Kim - no problem on Dudley - thanks for letting me know.
Regarding helping out with Mt. Hope, can you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and give me some details as to what work you and the team are doing? They've always been helpful to me, but I could see they weren't well organized.
I'm in the middle of doing the same with Ohev Sholom Cemetery in Brookhaven. It's much smaller than Mt. Hope. Once I finish that up I can lend a hand. I'm out of town until next Monday so I may take a while to respond.
Take good care.

Hello Kimberly. While doing family research and photos on the Faucett and Smith families in St. John's, I noticed that you took a lot of the photos on these in 2010 and they are generally lo-res and difficult to read. I was out there last week to get the early morning light and got a good bunch of hi-res photos in good light. Would you mind if I posted them to the memorials you own? Thanks, Bill.
|Alivia Hummel||Capt. George Wilson|
Hello, I am very thankful you are researching this family, because it is my family too. Capt. George Wilson is also my 3rd great grandpa! My 2nd great grandmother was Nettie Bishop. Thank you for your research, Alivia Hummel
I sent you an e-mail. I've spent close to 30 years documenting this family, which is my family, and I have loads of documentation. I don't share it publicly, reasons in e-mail, but I look forward to communicating with you. What I have in the memorials is correct though it may not look so. I've got to go over it again to make sure.
