Genealogy has been a passion for years. Find A Grave is a way for me to "pay it forward". By helping others find their families, I can repay the many who helped me in my search. Find A Grave has been a wonderful tool for me.|
This is a hobby. I have a job and can't do this everyday. Therefore, my response times may vary. To ensure there are no misunderstandings, to reduce errors and to keep my participation manageable, here are my expectations.
TRANSFERS: I will transfer memorials within the Find A Grave four-generation rule. While I do believe memorials best belong with family members, I may in some cases choose to retain them. In those instances, I will be happy to add additional information or links. Certainly, I will not transfer my own relatives except in very rare instances.
REQUESTING TRANSFERS: Use the "Edit" button; I will not respond to email transfer requests. This helps ensure accuracy. Please do not request multiple transfers in one message; one person per request. Do not send requests like "transfer all Smiths in this cemetery". To comply with transfer policy, you must fully explain your relationship to the individual. You must include your Find A Grave name and contributor number; I will not search for you.
LINKS: While genealogy is a secondary function of Find A Grave, I think linking makes Find A Grave more informative and is a great genealogy tool. Again, use the "Edit" button. I will not respond to email requests. One person per request. For example, if you want to link all the children of a couple to the parents, send an individual request for each child. Be sure to include your name and contributor number.
PICTURES: You have permission to use my pictures. I would appreciate that you attribute them to "Cheryl, findagrave member 47386524". Doing so will allow somebody with questions about the cemetery to contact me.
MORE ON PICTURES: I recently got a "complaint" that I didn't "straighten" the flowers in a picture. I don't go to the cemetery to take pictures of flowers. My goal is to record the family information on the stone. I may even "crop" the flowers out of a picture in order to get a better picture of the history. Plus, I DO NOT DISTURB the gravesite. At times, I've basically "stood on my head" to take a picture so as not to disturb the gravesite. It doesn't always make for perfect pictures but, just know, I did my best to preserve the history without disturbing anything. They all need to REST IN PEACE!
MY SON: I lost my son, Dustin, in 2009. Please visit his memorial 67376999. He is sorely missed every day.
IN CASE OF DEATH: I'm planning to become a very OLD lady! It's challenging to get links, transfers, corrections when a contributor is deceased. Therefore, Kathy Vanchieri or Amanda Ware will assume control of my memorials upon my demise. It's in my will!

Remington is my husband's and my first child. My sister in law made me aware of your sponsorship of his memorial on Find A Grave. I would like to request the transfer of that sponsorship to me. I tried doing it through the "Edit" link as you suggested in your profile, but it just sent me to a link to pay for removal of advertising. Thank you. I look forward to your response.

Greetings, Cheryl, Received your edit (Railroad Cemetery) and realize I had found the same one, but I'm curious. Why does his obit list him as Jr. and his father as Melvin? Do you think a mistake was made on the obit, and should I remove that? (While searching, I found another member that the 'Stone' had surname spelled Capentor, but the memorial was correct.)

Cheryl: I was at Greenwood Cemetery - east side - in Waynesboro last week hunting Joe Thomas Holder when I looked up Joe Thomas on web site - cemeteriesonly.com - done by David Montgomery, I found a name listed that I believe is Martha Turman. The name listed was Madora Turman - dates of 11 June 1891 to 12 Apr. 1950.
As you know David and Martha Montgomery to to a cemetery and catalogue all monuments visible and then update them to their web site - cemeteriesonly.com. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Best Wishes, Judy G. in Tennessee

I just put in an edit on your Find A Grave Memorial 84823669 for Agnes Munkres Cowley changing her mother to Find A Grave Memorial 53699934 of Mrs Edna I. Munkres, the second wife of Find A Grave Memorial 16461369 for Riley George Munkres. His first wife Find A Grave Memorial 17924733 fo Anna Briix Munkres died when their second child was born 13 October 1896; therefore could not be the mother of Agnes Munkres Cowley. I hope to eventually make some other edits for the family of Riley George Munkres.

I have been there again, no evidence of a monument. Also - cemeteriesonly.com does not have her listed - as you know they cataloged all stones that were visible.
Greetings! There is a concrete border around the area indicated in your request. Willie and Stella's headstone is there. Also, there is evidence of where a marker once stood. It is next to Stella's stone.
