Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy in the LowCounty of South Carolina for a little over 12 years mostly in Georgetown, Charleston, & Berkeley counties. My family lines were first here in Charleston in the 1690's.
I will be glad to take photos of cemeteries in this area.

Thank you Mary for sending me the correct dates. I am transferring this memorial to you in hopes that you can add these things to his memorial. - Sharon

I can't do anything with it, because you have management of both memorials.

RE: photo request for Black Oak Cemetery
Hey Mary,
thank you for the insight on this. I really came across the Porchers being quite far out on my family tree. Not a major interest but found info and was documenting.
Good luck with you and your research, perhaps out trees cross again in the future.

I have a Civil War draft registration for him listing his place of birth as Virginia and a 1900 census in Clinton, Vermillion, Indiana listing his birth as Virginia. He and his wife Mary Ellen Tweedy are listed as Letherman. You will notice that his wife is buried next to him. It is not unusual for census takers to make mistakes, I am open to investigating this further. Would you be willing to share your research with me? Thanks for your inquiry.

Which part of the cemetery was this located? In the back maybe middle of the cemetery all the way to the back fence?

Thank you for your time in going out to church island. Just curious, was the grass very tall? Usually in May of each year a group goes out there to give it a good clearing and cutting. My husband is on chemo and we have not been able to get on the water this year.. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Where do you camp when you go to the Lake?

Richardson's at Prince Frederick, Georgetown, SC

I do not have an ancestral connection to anyone at Prince Frederick. I will be more than happy to transfer to you any memorials that I have entered there if you would like to make links and add more information.
