“THIS IS A CEMETERY...lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and love is undisguised. This is a cemetery. Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched. Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not the death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living. A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - always.” Mary Lou Brannon|

I will add the Flake obit if you send it to me.
|Julious||RE: Cedar Grove|
I do not know of a Cedar Grove other than the one with the Polkton address Cedar Grove Baptist Church. The only African-American I know with a close name is Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church but it is in the opposite end of the county.

|Julious||RE: Rocky Ford East Cemetery|
The correct name is East Rock Ford Baptist Church. This church is just inside the city limit of Wadesboro but it is on the same road as West Rocky Ford Missionary Baptist Church. West Rocky Ford is out about four miles out of town.

Thank you for your note.
I will be going back to Greenhill and Leemont in the next few weeks. If you have any request, I will see if I can find them.

Have been to Greenhill and have taken several pictures of some of your people in the Hebrew section.
Thank You for the information on Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, Union County, North Carolina. It was very helpful and genuinely appreciated.
With Best Regards,

I am so happy to have helped. I love to think that this helps some relative learn about their family and gives life to just a name on a headstone.
Thanks for letting me know.

You're very welcome. Yes, the same question came to me, what was he doing with all those Bucks. Chris

Link are entered.
Do you want the original photo too? You can use the photos.
I am O.K. with a transfer of the memorial, too.
P.S. Sunlight is sometimes 99% of an acceptable versus exceptional photo. Sunlight gets the credit here.
