Jeff, thanks for the reply. You probably don't care, but here is what I have discovered. I called Orchard Hills in Snyder County this afternoon and the kind lady told me that West Side (2 words) was the original name for Orchard Hills and that the name changed in 1995. Not realizing this, somebody decided to create a new cemetery called Westside in Sunbury, Northumberland County on Find A Grave, which, as it turns out, doesn't actually exist. The death certificates before 1995 all say Westside/West Side, but many don't give the city or county, so the assumption was that it was in Sunbury where many of these folks died. Orchard Hills can't be but 1 mile from Sunbury, but it is just across the river in a different county; the river being the county line. Guess I'll ask Find A Grave to merge the two; as you discovered there is already a cross reference, but maybe another needs to be made for West Side in Sunbury.
Had the same problem here at home in SC. Had the same cemetery listed in town of Hodges and then again in the town of Cokesbury...cemetery is rural, so it wasn't easily defined.

Jeff, would you know if there exists a Westside Cemetery in Sunbury, Northumberland County? There are only 104 burials there, no map, no sign, no overview etc. on Find A Grave. I see that Orchard Hills Cemetery, just across the river in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County is also known as West Side Cemetery and has many more burials, map, overview photos etc. I am trying to track down Franklin Masser (d. 1891) and his wife, Harriet Houtz Masser (d. 1927), who are currently listed by someone else as being in the Westside Cemetery in Sunbury. I have to wonder if that is correct. Harriet's death cert. does state she is buried in West Side, but no town associated with it. She died in Sunbury. I know this is somewhat out of your territory. If you don't know, I'll try calling the Orchard Hills Cem and see what they know.
