James Clarence Joines 1919-1944
Good evening, I am sending you a message from England, UK. I am just looking at the memorial for James Clarence Joines on your website and see that some new information has been added. It states that he married Yvonne Collins in Cornwall, England and had a daughter. His daughter was my mother, making him my grandfather. Unfortunately my mother has passed away, but I have James' purple heart in my possession. My brother and I are trying to trace anyone from the Joines family over there in the USA, and wonder if you could possibly give me a contact for the person who posted this information on the site ? Many, many thanks. Nicola Keast.

RE: SMN Oden Dana Johnson-Memorial# 84151205
Hi again Allen,
The guy who wrote the bio For Eden Johnson if a friend of mine who has researched thousands of WWII casualties. I help him find where they are buried and help with bios a little using obits and census data. I also take many photos for him in the greater Baltimore/Washington area.

His web page is:

Oden Johnson is shown on this index:
as he had been a resident of Carroll County, MD at least sometime before the war. Obviously he had deeper roots in Tennessee.

If you ever see photo requests by me or Russ Pickett, they are almost always WWII casualties, or their family members when we suspect they are buried together. Many times in order to find the casualty's burial place I have to find his parents first, then they usually turn up in the same plot.
Thanks again,
Dan Phelan

SMN Oden Dana Johnson photo--Thank you
Hello Allen,
Thank you very much for adding the photo of Oden Johnson's marker. I'm confused how the other photo got there, as it wouldn't have been there when I put in the request (I don't think), or why my request was still there with that other photo there.
Anyway, sometimes odd things happen. I have seen some other photo requests pending before when there are photos posted, so I don't know if there are glitches in the system.

As you can see, he was KIA in WWII which is why the request was there in the first place.
Thanks again,
Dan Phelan

Mountain Home Tombstone photos
You've been very busy this September! Again, thank you for the great photos you posted on the requests I made. It is a wonderful way to help us with remembering our family and friends who have served our country and now passed on.
