Joined March 2010: Priceless discoveries to be found on Find A Grave. My hope is to bring some Aha moments to others. Truly appreciate all the volunteers who have spent so much time recording this information!
Please CONSIDER asking for TRANSFERs. Would like to lower my counts, and place memorials in management of family (close or distant) or contributors who will keep up with edits.
Corrections ~ Transfer Requests ~ Family Links ~ Questions
Many of the memorials I've added are a result of headstone photos taken "Along The Way". Please use the Edit tab on any memorial I've added, to suggest a correction or addition [i.e. Birth/death date, birth/death place; Relationship (parent and/or spouse links); Name; Plot or GPS; Marker transcription; or other corrections or additions, including Biographies, or to Request a Transfer].
Permission granted to use any HEADSTONE PHOTO I've added to Find A Grave for any genealogical use, as long as they are not offered for sale.
To send me a private message for any other reason, go to Mitzi's memorial page, click on the Edit tab & select the option: "Suggest any other correction or addition".

JUNE 2014 UPDATE: About 13,000 Memorials (for various cemeteries in southern Wisconsin) were transferred to me from this CONTRIBUTOR. They were originally added by this INACTIVE CONTRIBUTOR. Gradually working on fixing errors & duplicates, linking families, and making corrections as I can determine. Willing to transfer to family and/or others who have more information. Just ask.

Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma, Kewaunee, WI
Yesterday I discovered a correction for his date of death. The gravestone is very difficult to read, even after I reviewed my own photo of it. I found his death notice in the Green Bay Gazette, Dateline, Ahnapee, WI, JANUARY 29, 1896.
Prior to this discovery your memorial # 96903450 was the only information I found on his death.
Please be advised that he died in January rather than June.
Thank you for the wonderful work you do! You are a treasure.

I myself have been trying to find more info about Edward and Cena (I think it is with a "C".) I found a funeral write up for Edward that said he died in Grand Rapids, Michigan. If you would like to add a memorial for Cena go ahead and I will add the photos. I would have but I like to get more information. I will keep searching. If you find anything let me know. It is best to reach me directly by my email email@example.com
If you would like Philip Hooker's memorial transferred to you, or any other ones I manage, just let me know. I have no link to him other than that he happened to be buried in a cemetery I was photographing.

My name is Sandra Caska and I was wondering if you found any other information on the Kostichka memorials.
My Grandfather was John J Caska, born in Muchegon Michigan July 4, 1870--died August 3, 1952 and I think moved to Milwalkee Wisconsin. He changed his name to Caska and I think because he didn't like how the old name was spelled, it sounded like Caska so he changed it. It could have been Kostichka, I really don't know as he or my family ever talked about our relatives. He married Mae Nica Bliss in 1903 and she died in Plattsburgh, New York in 1912 from complications of child birth. My father was the child, Joseph Marshall Caska 05-04-1912, he was her last child, the first was Thomas Caska 1904- 1976 ?, John Caska, 1907--2000
Just trying to find my grandfather's parents and family. I have no names to connect him to.
Sandra Caska Carlo
Cool! Looks like Find A Grave automatically edited ALL of your suggestions. Thanks! Bulldog

|Larry Luna||By the way....|
Thank you for calling and getting the plot information. I could go around and fulfill many requests but many people are unwilling to give the cemetery a call! Kudos to you!
|Daniel Allen||RE: Marie Oldenberg|
Looks like you found her. :-)
|Fern M (Colson) Versluis||Thank You!|
Yes I sent you a thank you message when we were logged in on my husbands account. Sorry we are still learning how to use and navigate through the Find A Grave Web Site. Thanks so much for the Birdsall transfers!
