Are you any relation to Cora above? I know she is listed as being buried in West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery but a volunteer has looked several times with no luck for her marker; and from my notes she and husband George Edward REID were divorced [his death certificate states that.] Do you know if she is there for sure? Just thought you might since you have the name HUFFSTUTLER. I am distantly related through marriages only.

Find A Grave Memorial# 43236737
I realize that this information was put here in 2009, so maybe you are not aware of the fact that Benjamin and Matilda Blackmon had more children that what you have up here. Their last child born was called Oneta Holton born on 26 Sept 1897 in Heads Ville, Robertson Co. TX and died on 29 Aug 1898 Thornton, Limestone Co. TX and is buried at Thornton Cemetery, Thornton, Limestone Co. TX. Her Find A Grave$ is as follows if you would like to go look? 150389302
Thanks, just wanted you to know this so maybe you would like to add her?

Really appreciate your feedback. I happen to be online and read your reply almost immediately, but I have been taking some time to digest it - and am still taking time.
You see, I recently met a grand-daughter of Oscar Trig Smith who, along with her mother (a half sister of Blanche Smith), met Blanche in 1975. To be fair, I do not have any more details than that at the moment because both she and I were about to leave on personal and business travel for awhile. I've just reached out to her to see if she has returned and am waiting for a response.
As you can see, there is a bit of awkwardness that I hope can be explained away (with more time/research) as simply being 2 different Blanche Smith's that are being referred to. Intriguingly, the surname of Belcher is also common - and a key point - in my research.
When/if I have more, and if you're interested, I will let you know.

Well... maybe you can help me with something (crossing fingers). I'm looking for information on Oscar's daughter, Blanche Smith, from his first marriage with Pearl Ward Holbrook. All I know is her name (perhaps "Blanche" is a middle name?) from the 1920 US Fed Census.
If you have anything - even a rumor at this point - it would be helpful and very appreciated.

You left a "flower" on this Memorial (116492205) - did you know, or know of, this person?
|Dawn Kelley||Virginia Lee McMillian Belmont|
FYI -- I have just discovered Virginia McMillan Belmont at Fairview in Pampa, along with husband Dewey Belmont. In fact, someone has taken a photo of their graves there.
|Vonnie L Cantrell||RE: GEORGE (HOFSTATLAR) HUFFSTUTLER|
I am thrilled that you and I have been able to honor your ancestor by recording for perpetuity the role he played in American history.
Thank you so very much for your lovely email. From now on, when I become exhausted from hours of research, I will read your lovely email for the incentive to continue.
Happy New Year!

You are very welcome.
