Find A Grave has been a big help in my genealogy research. Being able to piece together a family from links and photos is a thrill. I also enjoy photography so that lets me give a little back to the Find A Grave community. If I can fulfill a photo request, I know that I have helped someone else in their family quest.|
The names I am researching are Williams, Lewis, Hughes, Hawkins, Shumate, Whitener/Widener, just to name a few on my side. On husband's side I'm looking for Brokob, Rose, Henderson, Hartman, Burnworth/Burnsworth.

Thanks for the reply~ The JC Lewis you have here is my ggrandfather connected through his #2 wife, Mary E. Morrison, m= 1910 Arlington, Tarrant Co TX. The pictures you have on his family & extended families, ie: Lewis, Morrow, Chastain, Taylor, Lay, etc. are terrific - many of them I have in a Lewis book by Dottie Lewis, I got in 1986. As for a Clarence Lewis, I have 2 in my FTM: Clarence Edwin, b. 9-4-1891 Warren Co. KY, d. 1972 in Goliad, TX. m= Ollie Taylor. He was the youngest son of JC & Mary F. Morrow Lewis. The other is Clarence Edward, b. 1924, son of Fred F. and Myrtle Adkins Lewis. Fred is the son of Volitair Loving"Bud" Lewis, a younger brother to JC. As for another JC Lewis in my FTM he is the only one I have. My line I have started with W. Joseph Linton & Catherine Linton b. ca. 1740's in Caroline/Loudoun Cos. VA & then on into KY by ca 1840s. If your Lewis line starts in Va, could be connected? Let me know what you think of these 2 Clarence Lewis men. Thanks again ~

Hi Angela ~ was wondering about this picture and info you have on Joe C. Lewis, b. 12 Mar 1854 d.Warren Co. KY, d. 14 Feb 1935 in Waxahachie, TX. Some of your info is correct. The picture you show does not fit at all, he was an old man at the time this picture was taken, this is a picture of someone else. Joseph C. Lewis was from Warren Co. KY, his parents were Lorenzo D. Lewis and Julia Ann Johns. His grandparents were Joseph & Nancy Faulkner Lewis. They lived close to Richardsville/Bowling Green, Warren Co. KY. Abt. 1898 JC came to Waxahachie TX with some of his family members and his 1st wife, Mary F. Morrow Lewis died there in 1901. Looked at your Lewis family here and none of those names sounded familiar. Thanks, Melin Pete
