Genealogy research tops my list of favorite activities. I have been researching my own, my husband's and allied families for over twenty-five years. I have written one book on our Campbell lines and am working on a second one.The memorials I manage are primarily my own family or allied family members that I have researched. Find-a-Grave can be a good resource. Thank you to the members whose hard work and generous volunteer hours have helped countless researchers. |
I will happily make transfers for anyone, if it's your relative or friend and not my direct line. Family should be managed by family. Use the edit request on the memorial and include your FAG member number with your request. Thanks for mentioning your relationship also.
A cooperative spirit makes every interaction a pleasure!Please feel free to copy any of my memorial pictures. I have posted them for your use. Questions or corrections-please notify me. Mistakes happen and I strive for accuracy on the memorials I manage. Best of luck as you search and re-search the pieces of your family puzzle! Patricia Gallagher Campbell

I just spoke to the most wonderful person (James Armstrong) at the cemetery. He informs me that Archibald is in section 5 of Scott's Free Burial ground at Oakwood. He is buried with daughter Mary Jane.
I descend from all things TX, I think! I'm related to all those who went with Boone to NC/SC/MO/KY and TX. Boone was captured during a massacre and was kept by the Cherokee for 7 years and then let go. The rest of the party continued on to Guadalupe. I'm guessing we are related many times over. Do you have Burkett, Kent, Doak, Fountain, Franks, Zumwalt, Hindes, Rhoads, etc. in your tree?
OAKWOOD: I left a msg with the cemetery to double check on the Campbells.
I can't recall were I got the info from because most of my research went through 1)mail, 2)DOS, 3)Windows genealogical software programs that exploded with too many records. So, its origins may have been lost or misplaced along the way, but I think they are pretty darn correct. Even official records have tons of mistakes in them, so I gave up the worry.
Archibald, sorry . . . I now have on glasses! I came across info when searching for Emily Campbell, my ancestor. Let me check around and get back to you as to the source.
I also sent a note over to the photo gypsy to see why she put that note on the memorial.

Are you talking about the Alex born in 1893? He would be the son of Alex born 1856, son of Alex born 1814. I don't have Mary recorded anywhere (yet, that is).
|DSoren||Day of George Lincoln "Link" Shumaker's death|
George's death certificate that can be viewed on Ancestry.com states his death was September 17, 1934. His burial was September 18, 1934. Not a big difference but it would make is accurate.
I submitted the change under edit. Thought you would like to know.

|Gary Watkins||Another Child of Rudie Lee Tapp Chandler and Joseph Sweet Chandler|
Thought I would pass on some data to you. My wife's mother Mary Catherine Chandler Bolin passed away on March 19th 2017. She was the 2nd child of Rudie Lee Tapp Chandler and Joseph Sweet Chandler. She lived to be 91. She was a wonderful mother-law and person. She is not listed as a child of the Chandlers. Additionally, thought I would mention Mary Catherine Chandler Bolin mother's name is misspelled. Her correct name is Rudie Lee Tapp Chandler. Mary Catherine Chandler Bolin father's name is Joseph Sweet Chandler. Not sure why "Katie" never had them correct the marker...but their names are commonly incorrect throughout many Ancestry trees.
Thank you for your time and my Ancestry.com name is batspid3000 and I hope you can find the time to browse my data.

Taken care of.
My husband's people are buried in this cemetery with the Comstocks, and I do understand about the name. The cemetery is misnamed on find-a-grave, wish I knew how to change that. Anyhoo, thanks very much for the good information, the changes have been made. Jackie

|Katie White Harrison||RE: Oops|
I forwarded this on to one of my cousins and asked him to reach out. Good luck!
|Katie White Harrison||RE: Charles F. White|
Thanks for your email. I am Margaret Lupton's niece, Charles F White was my grandfather. Are you researching the White side of the family? If so, I'm happy to help. Did Margaret ask you to research? I know she is very interested in family history, as am I.
I am researching Margaret White Lupton and her family (children). Are you related to Charles F. White and do you know if he was the father of Margaret White Luton who married William C. Lupton?
Thanks sos Much,
