|Kristie Mudgett Doyel||RE: thank you|
You're welcome, I tried to find an obituary but was unsuccessful. 😕
|LeeAnn Waltz||RE: Zelda Phillips Holt|
You're very welcome. I'm glad I could help. I am not related and did not create the memorial so I am not able to transfer it to you.
If you go to the Edit tab in the upper right corner of the memorial and click on it, you will see the option to "Suggest any other correction or addition". Click on that and then follow the directions to request a transfer from Denise Carter.

Thomas Cranfill Memorial #13353724 and Susan J Canton Cranfill Memorial#13353995. Would you please put these two together? Thank you.

|KHaining||transfer of Marie Young|
Sorry, LC --
I've been very busy with a couple of work projects recently. I remember looking at your email and I thought I'd already handled it, but obviously it got missed in the press of things.
I understand that names are frequently misspelled on various documents, but on her birth record the surname was spelled "Hanke" and on her death record as "Hunkey." Even if her father's name normalized to the spelling of "Hehmke" Marie herself may never have used those spellings in her name. (On the other hand, she might have.) My point is simply that it's worth mentioning the variations in spelling in her profile.
Your original request left me in a bit of a quandary since you suggested that it might be a case of mistaken identity. If you were uncertain as to who she really was, then why would you want the memorial transferred? I knew who she was -- the wife of William Young (as the gravestone makes clear). It was confusing.
At any rate, I didn't mean to ignore your suggested edits and request for transfer. It's just that I've had very little time for genealogy research what with the holidays and this work project that's got me tied up.
Marie Young is not directly connected to me at all -- just a second wife to a spouse that is married into my family. That's why I have transferred her memorial to your care.

|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Transfers|
I feel your pain on the non directs asking for transfers. There are alot of people using findagrave as their personal tree & that is not what it is suppose to be, cemetery transcriptions are a resource as well as findagrave is a resource. Cemeteries are public places for all. Sometimes I wish they would not allow transfers just allow adding links & additional information, this would be a better option for all. There would certainly be less squabbles. lol!! I have transferred your grandfather, enjoy!
