Each and every life is worth living, loving and remembering.|
My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, negligent cattlemen, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history.

I'm not a numbers addict or collector, but I adhere to Findagrave policy:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
On the other hand, if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer. I will always transfer a memorial if you sponsor it.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

I'm sorry to have had to get Find a Grave involved and have them turn over the memorial of my father and Grandparents which was full of misinformation. But your refusal to communicate with me about them forced me into doing so. I would prefer not to go down that road again on my Uncle's memorial. I kindly ask you to please remove the outdated photo of his headstone. I have updated it with the correct one.
Carrie and Allen,
Thank you very much for your work for Find A Grave. I was delighted to find my great grandmother Emma Isabel Findlay Baker's gravestone. I knew she was buried in Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville but I live in Alaska so I'm happy to have traveled via your photos on the Internet. All the best, Gretchen Towne Abbott Bersch

I sent you an email over a month ago with an obituary for a Paul Childers. You have this Paul Childers confused with another Paul Childers # 62179080. The info in the obituary has the same dates as you have on this memorial but he's buried in a different cemetery. And since the other Paul Childers is buried with his wife Dora, I'm inclined to believe you have made a mistake. I don't want to place his obit in his flowers section in order to let people know this is an error but I will if not corrected. If you feel I have made a mistake please let me know how. Thank you.

According to another "Find a Grave" volunteer who tried to capture a photo of Juanita's gravestone, she is not buried in Redmond Memorial Cemetery. According to Redmond Memorial Chapel, she was cremated and her ashes given to her family. Therefore, if you could remove the burial site information on Find a Grave, then her memorial will still exist but not the location of burial. Thanks.

Thanks for all the hard work that you put into the Dreisbach and Weitz families: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=159723784
There are two Dreisbach babies in Lehighton cemetery records (1934 and 1935) buried in B-53 but there are no markers or stones. Their names also do not appear on the Dreisbach stones in said lot. I added an overview photo of the plot.

Hi Carrie and Allen,
I've sent updated info on Ruth. Her memorial was all unknown. I also send her obituary on the Suggest any other correction or addition link. Her mother and brother, Cal were neighbors when I was a little girl, in my home town of Kenmare, ND.

I see you've added a lot for the Allen Union Cemetery in Northamption. Do you have any information on the Nagle family? I've found death certificates that imply they're buried there, but after walking the Allen Union section, I didn't find them. I haven't walked the other sections, but since they weren't Ukrainian, I don't think they would be there.
Helen Nagle 1887 - 1910
Mamie Nagle 1892 - 1910
Mary (Snyder) Nagle 1864 - 1912
Robert R Nagle 1924 - 2012
Betty R Nagle 1926 - 2005
If you don't have any information, do you know who might? Thank you for your help.

Would you please look at Find A Grave # 129961993, as according to the Sherman County Observer this is where he is buried, not Wasco. Thanks.....
Are you adding important information to the memorials that you have created or not?
