I saw your photo of this church. Wondering if you know anyone I could contact at this church for where old records are kept from 1830s? A family member says she found my GGGGgrandmother Susannah Pate in the minutes and it's the only reference to her. She and some Hardcastle descendants were listed for music lesson suit and expulsion for fighting and dancing. The family member said these minutes were housed at "Baptist Archives" in Birmingham. Do you know anyone at the church that would know? Kelly

Hello. I have just come across the profiles of my GG Grandparents and was just interested if you are also a relative, if not, thank you for maintaining the pages. If you are, would love to chat with you about other family relationships.

Cristin Berry "Toby" Smitha
Dear Jewel,

I am doing research for a friend whose father Arthur Smitha was the son of Cristin "Toby" Smitha.
they know absolutely nothing about their father's family since the children of Toby Smitha were put in an orphans home when in their teens and they never say their father again.
My question is: Do you know anthing about what happened to Christin Berry "Toby" Smitha after about 1910 where he is listed in the Cox household with his Mother and her husband.
I found the children in the orphans home in 1920, one being farmed out to a family in the area but can find hid nor hair of their father, CB "Toby."
I have found the families back from both C.B. Toby and is wife but no deaths for either of them.
It would mean a lot to my friend and her sister if you could help us.

RE: Lydia Hancock
Yes mam, I was just happy I found her in the Shiloh in pike co. In the past I was unclear, but glad I was able to clear it up for my list. At Holmans they have most of the listed as buried in Shiloh, not the location. I just have about 20 more to clear up which Shiloh :)

Lydia Hancock
Hi Jewel, I am trustee at Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee, Al. I am so glad I finally found Lydia. I have been working for years tying to make sure I did not add someone to this Shiloh that should not be here. I got the info on her from Holman Funeral Home in Ozark years ago. only difference is they have her birth date listed 5-21-1871, same death date. Thanks Pam Osborn.

Have any of your Turner relatives had a DNA done thru, which matches with Lucretia Cannon and her family, Nathaniel Cannon? I do link with family members. My email is to respond to this message and then you can delete this from Find A Grave if you wish.

Jewel, how are you related to those folks at Harmony? Been working on the Miles, Jackson, and Goodson family that moved out of Tarrantum in Pike and into Covington.

John & Velda Turner
Greetings Jewel-
Would you know anything about John and Velda Turner? I noticed you had requested headstone photos for them and thought I would ask you. I am not related, I added a obit for Floyd Turner (John&Velda's son) of Arkansas today and was linking his parents, children and sister and was just curious if the dates are correct for Velda born 1903 and John born 1893 and daughter, Floyd's sister, Sybil Turner Honaker born 1913? Was Velda Sybil's stepmother cause their birth dates seem to close.

Happy Holidays,

My email is:

RE: Elsea Gretchen
That sounds fine. I currently do not technically own them. I have over 200 photographs and letters to Elsea's parents Araminta and John Snodgrass to digitize and repair/correct in photoshop on the computer. It will take a while to sort everything and identify as many of the photos as possible. I know for sure there are her decedents as well as there are Millers mixed in the form of letters and pictures sent to them back in the 20s 30s and 40s. My email is listed.
