I live in southeast Georgia and created a contributor account in order to assist the dedicated Find-A-Gravers whose work has helped me so much in tracing my own family tree. |
I often use cemeteries to establish dates and relationship. Occasionally I come across plots that have not been fully documented on Find-A-Grave. In those cases, I try to provide supplementary information.
The cemeteries I visit on a regular bases are typically those in my virtual cemeteries. Feel free to contact me for specific pictures/information regarding burials or transfers of memorials. I will gladly transfer any that are not a direct relation to myself as required by Find-A-Grave. I would much rather a family member have the honor.

First, they are family members of mine. I am the daughter of Solomon & Joyce Hagans with my name JoAnn Hagans Harris. I spent many hours at their house and staying the night. One time that I was there, we made sinkers. They had the mold and we melted the lead and then poured them in molds. We moved from Savannah on 4 July 1969 and went back a few times to visit and then we lost touch. I was not having any info on them, I remember their daughter and son. If memory serves me correct the son enlisted in the military and may have had a plate in his head. I would like to pay my respects to all of them, but I saw that their interment was private. Hagans, Pye's, Kerby's are just to name a few. Thanks, Thanks and more Thanks for contacting me. I know that there we pictures but being a child, I was not interested in that kind of stuff at that time. I think I might have a photo of my dad and them that was taken when the weather. If you wish, we can communicate on pur e-mails, but that
will be up to you.

This cemetery in Bulloch Co., GA. Do you have any idea as to if it is still overgrown? I do like the photos, they make the cemetery so nice! Are you any kin or are you just like me recording these cemeteries to preserve history? There is a family connection, but haven't been able to find any folks that knows or have kin in the cemetery.
My Hagans (spelled any ways) are from Bulloch Co., GA.

Wilson Cemetery, Statesboro, Bulloch Co., GA. I have added the inscriptions. The last time I went to the cemetery, I was not able to get to it from the road and it was so overgrown. For awhile I could got there because a crop was surrounding it. I sure wish there was some way I could keep it cleaned but then I do not live in that area. Some of my kinfolks are buried in Wilson. Do you know if the cemetery is on private land and if so, do you think they would permit me going there, that if it was clean? You can contact me via my email: email@example.com
That way I would not clog up the memorial.
I can't Thank you enough for working with Wilson!
JoAnn Hagans Harris
