Bio Photo JERRY POSING AT THE ELLIFF FAMILY PLOT IN MCDONALD COUNTY, MISSOURI.

I always knew that I would do some kind of volunteer work upon retiring. I came upon Find A Grave while researching our (wife and I) ancestry. I have never enjoyed photography, but I truly enjoy claiming, locating, taking pictures, and posting the marker/headstone for the requestors. My biggest disappointment is finding that a gravesite does not have a marker or headstone.

I do volunteer photos, but I also enjoy taking photos of markers for the veterans interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona and posting them to the memorial that was established by another volunteer.

I served 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring as an E7 (Master Sergeant) 1961-1981.

After retiring from the AF I was employed by the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Federal Investigator and accountant.

CHARLES PERKINS NEW ST MARY'S
Hi Jerry. I am a photo volunteer that lives 15 minutes from finding Charles. St. Mary's is highly efficient and their layout makes finding loved ones fairly easy. Currently there are 14 requests for photos but only 3 with plot info. Volunteers do not walk around looking for a stone. They walk toward the stone because the requestor provides that info. So please call the office and get me the plot data and I will find Charles.

RE: Margaret Flory photos
Hiya Jerry,

This is in regard to:
My question:

Margaret Flory photos
please add your photos from duplicate Memorial# 138158715 to Memorial# 138124472.

your answer:

I am not sure how to add my picture of Harold's marker to Margaret's memorial and I do not keep the picture after it is posted. Also, the picture for Margaret's memorial was taken by another volunteer and I was afraid of stepping on their toes if I posted my picture. (Some volunteers are very touchy.) I did add my second picture to Margaret's memorial. I hope this reply is sufficient.

My reply:

The 2 photos on Margaret Flory Memorial# 138158715 were not taken by another volunteer, they were taken by you. They have your name underneath them.
That is why I left you a message I wanted the photos from Margaret Flory Memorial 138158715 to be added also to Margaret Flory Memorial# 138124472 which was created first because the duplicate Memorial 138158715 will eventually be deleted along with your photos if we don't get them before. I went ahead and copied them over and I gave you credit in the photo caption.
Harold's memorial, yes there is a photo that was taken by someone else but Harold's memorial did not have anything to do with what I was asking. It was the one Margaret memorial with your photos and the other one without your photos I was referencing.

thank you sir

Linda Russell Lewis
RE: Larry Hilton Lewis - 917655
Larry is my late husband. He died in CA on Nov. 8, 1998, and wanted to be cremated. In August, my sons and I moved to VA (my home state), and had Larry's ashes buried in Arlington National Cemetery in October 1999.

Larry was a 100% serviced-connected quadraplegic. He had been in the Navy and served in Norfolk, and San Diego.

Larry had no children, but was survived by his parents, Roy and Gloria Lewis, who have since passed, and 2 brothers, and one sister. Brothers - Kevin and Brian, sister - Paula (Kraft).

There are no male Lewis offsprings in this family.

Is there anything else I can tell you?

Hi, Jerry
Like you, I got into this upon retirement.

I've found newspaper articles regarding Cpl. Dewey Goldsmith who was killed in action during WWII. Dewey's father is listed as W. L. Goldsmith of Maldon, Missouri.

The obit also lists a twin brother, mother, sisters, etc.

I though you might be interested
