Bio

I became very interested in my own family history after my grandparents died in the mid 1990's, I did a bit of genealogy, but mainly all the research was by hand. After I retired from working in the mid 2000's, I have had much more time to travel to various research places and numerous cemeteries, to take genealogy classes, and spend countless hours doing research and countless hours doing data entry and also writing up several family lines. It is a labor of love that I find satisfying, interesting and rewarding. I hope to leave my family members so much more than I ever knew about our family.

In 2009 my cousin Karen Aguirre completed her extensive research on the eight major Duran family lines and wrote biographies including many photographs of Duran family members. She did an outstanding job and deserves the credit for most of our Duran family history!

In early 2010 I began adding deceased family members and whenever possible scanning old photos to add to their individual pages - it has been most rewarding. In late summer of 2010 I have been concentrating on photographing and adding persons buried in the Gonzales Cemetery where my grandparents are buried.
