RE: Samuel Shellenbarger
Thank you so much for all of this wonderful information. My email is
I will look forward to checking out your website and your news letter.

I do not have a picture of Samuel's stone. If there is any part of one left, I will get a picture to you. According to cemetery records he's buried in the same row as his parents. Thanks also for the information on a government marker for him

RE: Samuel Shellenbarger
Mr. Krebs,

I am so sorry that your message did not get answered. I just recently got back into genealogy. Yes, I am related to this Samuel. He is a brother to John Shellenbarger, who is a direct ancestor. They are both sons of Henry Shellenbarger. I was looking at who all was buried in Westminster Cemetery. I was recently in the cemetery and noticed that some of the stones are deteriorating. Some look like they are beyond restoration and will need to be replaced. My brothers and I are looking into this and if replacement is required, we want to do it with something appropriate. Again, please accept my apology.

If you would like to transfer Samuel's memorial to me, I would greatly appreciate it. And if you have any information on him, I would love that too. Thanks!

Thanks for leaving flowers on CW memorials! I am involved in project now to locate ALL vets in local cemetery - I am doing CW both GAR & CSA -do you know any local group in NW Arkansas?
My great uncle was KIA at Battle of Stones River - he was in 151 Ohio - he is buried there.
My 3x grandpa died 1862 in Union camp @ Rolla Mo of smallpox - no burial info known . I am trying to get a CW headstone for him & put here in family cemetery in Eureka Springs Ark.
Keep up good work!!!! Huzzah!

I belong to the Ohio Valley Civil War Association made up of several units including infantry, sharpshooters, artillery, military signal & telegraph corps, along with occasional medical & cavalry. Although a few members will occasionally attend a reenactment on their own the group primarily does educational presentations & displays.

No relation. I had taken the list of photo requests to try to eliminate some of them by looking at obituaries at the library and just adding what I found.

I was adding a newspaper clipping and didn't hit other so it acted like I completed a grave photo request. Sorry about that. You may want to put it in again.

Glad I can help. My mother has neither cable or internet so I need to find something to do when I visit.
