I would like to manage my families memorials you have added. I would also like to thank you for adding them. The list is quite long, would like to get approval first.
My mom, grandma, grandpa, etc are buried there.

Hi again,

I think you might have missed my request for permission to use a photograph you took of a cemetery back in August. I managed to find another photo of the cemetery I needed then, so I didn't have to bother you again. However, you took a photograph of another cousin's headstone, and there is no other photograph available, so I am so sorry that I have to ask you again. I would like your permission to use your photograph of his headstone in my family tree, if you will give it.

I truly appreciate the work and dedication of the Find a Grave contributors who take these photographs for those folks, like me, who cannot. I must rely on the generosity of others to take photographs for me.

Thanks again,
Carol Barber Hudson

William "Bill" Stout
Find A Grave Memorial # 8381017

Dan, If you're interested in finding the parents of great-aunt Eliza Drew Stout's husband William Stout perhaps my note to cousin Barry Drew Lindley will be of some help. At this time I suspect I've done all that I can. Don't be a stranger. Thanks. Best regards, Drew Whitaker

Barry Lindley most of all last week I researched my English Stout family hoping to find a link to your (our) great-aunt Eliza Drew Stout's husband William Stout's (born 1864 unknown Indiana-died 1920, Madison Co., KY) birth & death years and places to go on. Lots of googling of names in the beginning in regards to his miniature bio wasn't leading me anywhere except for learning of the different migration trails my distant Stout cousins had taken to many different western parts of America. I couldn't claim "aunt" Eliza Drew Stout's husband my cousin because of the German Staudts who early on had changed the spelling of their surname to Stout. This research led me to adding many more "distant" English Stout cousins (and German Stouts) to my Genealogy program "Reunion". Yesterday, I was all but ready not to claim him as possible kin when lo and behold lightening struck when I found my 4th Cousin 7x removed Amy Stout Lindley married an Eli Lindley, 22 Sep 1852, Orange Co., Indiana and Amy's Stouts had migrated from Orange Co., NC to Orange Co., IN as had your Lindleys. Though there's a "Find A Grave Memorial" for Eli Lindley (born 7 Jul 1819, Orange Co., IN and died 16 Jul 1898, Orange Co., IN) it doesn't give his parents' names. Though, curiously enough I was led to find that Eli & Amy Stout Lindley wasn't the Lindley/Stout couple because there was a William Stout married Elizabeth Lindley, 23 Dec 1846, Orange Co., IN. This Elizabeth Lindley Stout is your cousin 2x both times 2C4R by her great-grandparents your 5th great-grandparents, Thomas & Sarah Evans Lindley and 2nd time her great-grandparents your 5th great-grandparents, Samuel & Sarah Thompson Chambers. I think it's "possible" that the aforesaid couple William & Elizabeth Lindley Stout could be the parents of "grand' aunt Eliza Drew Stout's husband William Stout ... possible! possible! possible!... In any case I'd bet anything that this William Stout could proudly claim being a descendant of my Immigrant 10th great-grandparents Richard & Penelope Van Princis Stout. I have 3 books written on the life of ancestor Penelope Van Princis Stout.

Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen Drew
Hi Dan, I've created a Find A Grave Memorial for our ancestor Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendenen Drew and thought perhaps you'd like to link her son your 2ggf Rev. John Drew to it. I'd create a Find A Grave Memorial for your 3ggf John Robert? Drew but I'm thinking you probably have more information for him and you'd like to do that. Best regards, Drew Whitaker

RE: Rev. John Drew #5333598
Hi DLM ... I saw some of your messages saying your/ou Drews have native Indian blood and that's the first time I've heard that.

I know your 2nd great-grandfather (my half 3rd great-uncle) Rev. John Drew was a mulatto by his mother Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendennin Drew.

Our/my (Half) 3rd G-uncle Rev. John Drew (1823-1890) was recorded as being mulatto in "A Utopian Experiment in Kentucky: Integration and Social Equality at Berea ... By Richard D. Sears: (see 3rd paragraph thanks)

Some of the people from the mountains who supported Berea were involved in mixed marriages.
Reverend John Drew, mulatto, and his wife Isabella, white, were a Jackson County, KY couple who supported Rev. John Fee's Berea's work. Their sons Napoleon and Rufus attended Berea in 1867 and their daughter Catherine in 1870. Eventually, Drew would become minister of the church (John G.) Fee had founded at Camp Nelson. Excerpt from"A Utopian Experiment in Kentucky: Integration and Social Equality at Berea ... By Richard D. Sears. Copied by 3rd (Half) 3rd G-nephewJ. W. Drew Whitaker 12.6.12

Have you looked at the Drew Family compiled by Paul Heinegg's "Free African Americans of North Carolna, Virginia, and South Carolina?"

I accidentally found some of the "Find A Graves Memorials" created by JFJN (you?) and loved the precious family pictures. I'm anxious to get all your names on my Genealogy Program "Reunion".

At this time I know of no marriage license found for our ancestor Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendennen Drew.
Barry Drew Lindley's & my autosomal DNA proved we are related by our his 2nd my 3rd great-grandmother Elizabeth Lloyd? Clendennin Drew who knew/1 (my 3gggf) Charles? Clendennin and knew/2 (his 2ggf great-grandfather) John Robert? Drew. Thanks

Susan Hill Burial Info
The Susan Hill headstone in Greensboro AL caught my attention. I was wondering if anyone knew who this person is? I have a Susannah "Susan" Hill in my family tree and was wondering if this might be her. I don't have records of her or her husband Martin Hill passed the 1860's. If you have any information please let me know. Thanks.

P.S. DLM who are you? ... Great picture of Daniel L. Moores (R) with a great grandson of Capt. James A. Moores at his monument in Richmond Ky. Cemetery. I suspect they're kin of Isabella Moore Drew?
