Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have been "breaking down" brick walls of our family for the last 30 years! Am trying to pass the passion on to my 8 grandchildren - and one by one they are beginning to realize that their ancestors are more than names, dates and places. It's lots of fun inviting them to come along with me to visit some beautiful cemeteries and take pictures that have been requested. They have shown me that the new technology makes the effort so much quicker and easier!

McClain famly tree
I've been researching the McClain-McLane family tree since my Great-great grandmother is Anne Elizabeth McClain-McLane. I find the last name changes constantly, which makes it very difficult. It appears the mher father is Thomas McClain b.1823 & died 1889 and her mother is Mary (Moore)McClain. On the marriage certificate she has Mclane, making matters worse. It also appears that Mary died in 1861 and Thomas remarried to Hester (Durham) McClain b.April 3,1847, thanks to you I finally found her.
I see you are a McClain and hope that we could help each other if we're from the same family line.

I've been doing many Genealogies for 4 years. It's a addiction. I spend hours on end on my PC.
Thank you so much!

RE: Margaret Peterson Johnson
You're welcome! I had just discovered that John and Barbara Johnson (Margarets in-laws?) were my 3rd Great Grandparents and I went down to Elmer to find their grave and noticed your photo request! What a beautiful cemetery. I have never been in a more perfectly kept old cemetery. I plan on going back to retake the pictures on a day that's not so dark and cloudy. Have a great day!

Blum headstones
And thank you again, Norma, this time for the Blum headstone photos! You helped me solve a mystery. Adeline was married to two brothers, Edward Blum, and after he died, his brother Sheldon - I wasn't sure which husband/brother she was buried with!
