Ann Ansley/ Abel Ansley
Thank you for linking them again. I think it is someone else un-doing the links as 3 of my Mauk family members were unlinked and my Patriot John Lee who married Morning Altman and died in NC was changed to a different John Lee who died in GA. I also noticed that Thomas Ansley is not linked with William his father.I think I am going to recheck all of my family links to make sure they are ok. Thank you again, Cousin Joyce

Martha Gray Moore
She was my GG-Aunt and I would love to know more about her if you have any other information. All I know is she was married to R.E. Moore and they had an infant daughter who died. I also have the photo with Martha, one of her brothers and two sister, Mary Wilson and my Great Grandmother Augusta Gray Matthews. I'm trying to fill in this side of the family and any information you might have and be willing to share would be wonderful.

Thank you

Location of Stone
Mary Beverly is buried under the floor of Lower Methodist church in Hartfield, Died June 1st it is inscribed on stone. Here is more info.

MIDDLESEX Dating from Colonial days, after 336 years of varied history, Lower United Methodist Church at Hartfield in Middlesex County will celebrate homecoming Sunday.
The Church of England church began as the Piankatank Chapel, a wooden building dating back to 1657. The chapel burned and was replaced by the brick building that is used today.
According to the Christ Church Vestry book, orders were that the church should be built ``Two and fifty foot long in the clere and 30 foot wide and that the roofe for the said church be hipped above the wind beams'' for 90,000 pounds of sweet-scented tobacco, valued at about $4,000.
After the Colonial period and the Revolutionary War, the Church of England was no longer in favor and the church was abandoned. The building was later used by Methodists, Baptists and was a school at one time.
In 1857, Robert Healy, a prominent Methodist, bought the church and 4 acres of land from the vestry of the Protestant Episcopal Church for $300 and gave it to the Methodists. He gave $2 for every $1 raised until the sum of $500 was raised to repair the building.
Through the years, two annexes have been added and many improvements made to the building. The most recent renovation, just completed, includes repairing the clear glass windows, refinishing the pews, altar railing and floors. New carpeting has been installed.
LOWER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Obvious reminders of the age of Lower United Methodist Church include:
* A communion chest, predating the church, ordered built to hold the silver, linens and other articles of communion for 300 pounds of sweet-scented tobacco.
* A marble slab over the grave of Mary Beverley, who died in 1678, that was raised and laid flush when a new floor was installed. The inscription, written in Old English, reads: ``Here lyeth interred the body of Mrs. Mary Beverley, wife of Maj. Robert Beverley, mother of nine sonnes and three daughters who departed this life the first day of June 1678, aged fortie one yeares, three months. Haveing been married to him 12 years 2 months and was - `A careful Mother teaching vertuous life. Happy and makeing happy when a wife. Religious to example. May all strive to imitate her vertues whilst alive.''
* A brick on the left side of the front entrance with ``17 A 15'' carved on it, showing the date and the A for the initial of Capt. Henry Armistead, the builder.
* The deep walls, 27 inches thick, framing the fan-shaped windows built of clear glass
