I'm a Yankee transplanted to South to pick up the pieces of a life gone awry. After spending a great deal of my life in school studying history and working in the museum field, I have now settled on computers as a new outlet for my interest in history. My family's history can be traced back to at least the Norman Invasion of England and I (with my sister) descend from kings of the Scottish Celts, Irish Celts and Norman Scots, which I have known for as long as I can remember -- my history always being a part of my present. Because I grew up going to cemeteries with my parents to visit the graves of relatives, I have a long-standing affinity for burial places, whether a dolmen in Ireland or a weed filled forgotten family plot. My idea of relaxing when my mind is in turmoil is to go clean the graves of those long gone and forgotten, just to let them know that someone thought about them. My blog will be a place where I can showcase my interest in death art via photographic journeys through cemeteries and finding noted articles of interest. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in having me perform any research or photograph a grave in my area for your genealogy.|

First - you have a way with words. Have you considered writing a book? No kidding. I enjoyed reading your bio. And, no, I don't say that to everyone. However, the following question is the standard question I use to request permission to copy a photo for use in my family tree and is my primary reason for contacting you.
May I have your permission to use the photo you took of the cemetery (Evergreen) where, Ellen T Harwick, my 1st cousin is buried in my family tree? I really appreciate the hard work you have done for me and others like me who cannot. These photos, which I use in the Death and Burial section of my relative's profile page (not the profile photo) add a lot to otherwise barren pages of forms and statistics.
Thank you so much,
Carol Barber Hudson

Wondering if you are a descendant of Cynthia Fay Fierce? I see the memorial you created on here. Sandy Mitchell Quinn

You have requested a photo of a grave marker in the Flint Memorial Cemetery, located in Flint, Michigan. If you please call the cemetery Phone: 810-686-3660, get the location, post it, I will be going there in spring to take the photos. I will be looking in spring for any graves with locations given.

Sorry about the previous message, hit the wrong key. We respectfully request permission to use the cemetery sign photo in our online tree. Marie has a cousin interred there and the photo will make a great addition.
Thanks for your consideration.
