My name is Mary (Asplin) Lambert from Edmond, Oklahoma. I am a semi-retired RN. My parents: Ray and Fern (Park) Asplin. |
Ancestors include: the Asplin, Mead(e), Doty, Hulsey, Lewis, King, Park, Hairston, Parker, Banta, DeMott, DeMarest,Terhune, and Joslin families.
The Joslin (Joccelyn,Jocelyn, Joscelin, Josceline,Joscelyn, Joshlin, Joslyn, Josselyn,
Josselyne) family relates to me as well as my husband. Thomas Joslin, who came to America in 1635, had a son named Abraham who is my direct ancestor. Thomas Joslin also had a son named Nathaniel who is my husband's direct ancestor.
I have been able to trace my ancestry back to Edward Doty who arrived with the Pilgrims on the Mayflower. This has been supported by DNA through a male (Doty) second cousin once removed.
I would be pleased to transfer memorials to you since most of the memorials that I post are not that of my relatives. I would be happy to make corrections, add family links, and include any additional information to the memorials that you provide. If I need to make additions and corrections on the memorials that I have posted, please use the Edit button on the upper right area of each memorial to contact me. Feel free to use any of my photographs that I place on FAG.
When I visit graves online, I like to leave a flower so that friends and family of the deceased will know that their loved one was acknowledged that day. You are welcome to transfer any of my "flowers" to your own scrapbook.
"In all of us there is a hunger, marrow-deep, to know our heritage - to know who we are and where we have come from. Without this enriching knowledge there is a hollow yearning. No matter what our attainments in life there is still a vacuum. An emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness."

I was just curious to know where you found the photograph that you posted of Rev. Joseph H Clouse (1869–1956) and wife, Dora Ann Dalton (1869–1960). They are my 2nd great grandparents on my father's side. Its a great picture and I am just curious to know where you found it. Thank you for posting it.

Was just looking at the Find A Grave Memorial for Mary Haynes Pullen and the flower you left.
She was not a daughter of Henry Hayne 1745 as you posted.
His daughter married William Stratton and she was deceased by 1816 as Henry states this in his will.
Thought you would want to know.

Hello, am wondering if by any chance you are related to this particular Ray family? Thx

Hi, Noticed that you added a lot of info to the memorial I created for Grandpa Husted the day after I added it. Was that just coincidence that you were looking for him then?
|Sandra||Jurko and Jawdocha Okaluk|
I'm working on tying all the Okaluk/Jodlowski memorials together, as these were my great-grandparents, and I wanted to thank you for your work on them. Are you related at all?

Thanks for the info on 1812 land grants. It is worth looking into. Have a nice day.
Hi Mary--What nice photos of your family members. It is so nice to see the pieces come together. I will check back to see your edits on the parents as they process (they are interesting). I did review your very good notes in the caption areas of the photos. Good work. Peggy
