Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Cornwell. My Cornwells came to VA in the 1600's and then immigrated through OH and on into IL. My dad and I have been researching the Cornwell family for well over 25 years. Rather than focus solely on my line, I have had an interest in all people with the Cornwell name--trying to link them all together.

I also have a particular interest in the burials of Clark County, IL, where much of my family resides. Please send any additions and corrections to my memorials using the edit tab on the top right corner of the memorial page to make it easier for me to make the proper corrections.

PENCE
CINDY SO GLAD TO SEE PENCES NOW RECORDED with tombstones.

Also There is a Paul Fench Pence. The correct middle name is FINCH. I know the stone says FENCH

John FINCH Watson was the father of Eliza Alice Watson who married Clarence Albert Pence who had son Clarence Arthur Pence who married Sallie Best and had Don Best Pence.

My grandfather was Thomas J. Watson who was the son of John Finch Watson and Ann Eliza Beadles and brother of Eliza Alice. He was the 11th child of 12 born to John & Ann Eliza

Just a note
The other contributor acknowledged their mistake and deleted their memorial for Hannah Penry in the wrong cemetery. Nice to see good people on this site! Thank you for creating my 4th great aunt Hannah's memorial for me to find. I love this site.

Cornwells at Mountain View in Oakland

Mountain View Cemetery staff can look-up burials for people, but the records are listed in ledger books in ranges of years.

To get a look-up done you must provide a name and date of death.

Please call the office number on the cemetery page and make your inquiry. Edit the record so it includes the plot location and we can get the photo for you.

Wandering around to find graves does not work at this Cemetery.
There are about 170,000 burials to look at.

If you want other Cornwells, YOU must provide their names and dates.
