Steve, George was killed in the mine. He had a wife named Mildred and a son named George Junior "Georgie". If your dad was named Georgie, then Yes George McKasky is your Grandpap. However, Theresa Bozic is the mother of George who died in the mine, so she would be your great grandma. We called her "little grandma" because she was short in stature.

RE: Samuel Post
Hi Steve, Samuel Post born in 1698 # 71742306 was the son of Samuel Post born in 1668 # 63248589. Samuel Jr's stone is quite clear. He died in 1746 at age 48.

Please confirm which cemetery these are buried in. Some, with same grave marker are listed in "Chester Cemetery" and others are in "Old Settlement Cemetery"

RE: Bishop
No I'm not related to the Bishops but there is a connection of sorts. My father, born in 1893, was 62 when I was born. He told me stories of his youth as I was growing up including his trip across the US by train when he was a teenager. I wasn't old enough to ask the questions then that I should so I don't have a lot of the details. A couple of years ago I came across a border entry sheet for the US, November 1907, that lists my dad and his destination - to a friend Alfred Kendall in California. Alfred Kendall married Flora Belle Bishop, who's father Charles Edwin Bishop had emigrated from Nova Scotia to Califoria, in July 1907. So how did my father meet Alfred Kendall? I am guessing that it may have occured in Nova Scotia because my Wards and Flora's Bishops lived in the same area of the Annapolis Valley. Possibly Alfred and his new bride made a honeymoon trip to her ancestral home, but I will probably never be able to prove it. Oh, to have a time machine.

Manchester, Ca
I have no relation to any one in Evergreen Cemetery of Manchester, California. I can transfer to you any that I manage. I was there on vacation and believe that I've uploaded all of my photos. Note: there is also an Evergreen cemetery in Mendocino. Some graves listed on find a grave in Mendocino are really in Manchester.

As the lady said in the problem section. This cemetery is in the heart of the city and has been a target for the occasional idiot who vandalizes cemeteries.
Looking at the date of death its pretty improbale a stone may exist. The only cemetery in the city that still has stones dating abck to 1640 is the Norwichtown (Old Revolutionary War) Cemetery. Which I might add is loaded with Huntingtons. Samuel, signer of the Declaration of Independence is buried there as well as the mother and brother of Benedict Arnold.

I have access to City Hall records. Drop me a line at if I can help.
